So sad to hear about Sarah's passing she gave so much to the community forming Sarah's Stars to help those coping with bereavement in spite of suffering from this dreadful disease herself

We are deeply saddened to hear the news that Sarah passed away yesterday.

Sarah was widely loved and remembered for her kindness, warmth and unwavering positivity. She touched the lives of many through both her personal strength and her commitment to supporting others.

In the face of illness, Sarah founded Sarah’s Star, creating a supportive community for those living with incurable conditions — a legacy that will continue to offer comfort and connection to many.

Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with Sarah’s husband, Chris, her children Alice and Charlie, and all those who are mourning her loss.

She will be greatly missed in our community.

There should be a better system . At the moment the labour group is the biggest group on the council. They vote themselves as the chairs and deputy chairs of scrutiny committees. They also get the pick of all the outside bodies that give out renumeration as well the cabinet is made up of all those who the Mayor favours. There is no cross party decision making at cabinet level and the system is just a gravy train for those who tow the line and are friends of the Mayor. Anyone who challenges the status quo is out.

Despite calls from the North Tyneside Conservatives to revoke recently increased allowances for elected members, it has been revealed that only one councillor has opted out of the rises.

Housing is in crisis. The only way to solve it is to give money to the councils and let them start building council houses again. Also we need a land tax to stop land banking

Our fundamental rights to a fair trial are under threat.We've just seen how the judicial system works with the recent change from one independent judge to a panel of judges who's indepenedence appears compromised in the Palestine Action judicial review. Political interference within the justice system leads to mistrust and a breakdown in society.

Great to see parents staff and pupils from Langley 1st School at council tonight. Their fantastic campaign and support from local community has paused the consultation for now until another option can be sought. school
