It's hard to know what is "normal" and what isn't. When we have a baby it takes time to get to know their normal, however, there are a few things to keep an eye out for

Some babies also really benefit from seeing an osteopath/chiropractor as tension can also play a part in things such as mouth breathing and feeding issues

If you have a sleep consultant, a health visitor or midwife diagnosing things such as tongue ties or advising to remove things from your diet, ask them what qualifications or training have they had to allow them to make this diagnosis

Social media plays a massive role in our day-to-day life and we tend to follow the advice from those that we see online, especially if they have a large following as we trust they know what they're talking about, but sadly this isn't always the case

It's really important that before you follow the advice of someone you've seen online, check a reliable source and do your own research so you can make an informed decision, especially if it's about vulnerable people like your little babies

When I first envisioned becoming a sleep consultant I wanted to do a baby class all around sleep but had no idea how to organise it and also thought there are so many baby groups out there today, but I still don't see any groups centred around sleep

has launched 'Encircled' for all her certified consultants to start doing their own classes and I really hope there's some interest for this🤞🏻

A little about me – I’m an infant sleep coach, with a focus on responsive, attachment-led support for families and I’m really passionate about helping parents feel confident, informed, and supported without needing to follow traditional sleep training methods if they believe it's not something that works for them 🤍

The class would gently cover 8 topics, all of which can be found in the photo and would take place in person over the duration of 8 weeks, where babies and older siblings would be welcome🧑‍🧑‍🧒

This would be a supportive, non-judgemental space for parents who want to understand their baby better and make changes that feel right for their family 🤍
