October is and so what better way to kick it off than sharing some fantastic feedback we have for My Brain is Like a Disco by and illustrated by our editor

My Brain is Like a Disco follows Lily on her journey to acceptance and celebration of her ADHD, and her mum discovers more about herself along the way. Just like the real story of author Kate receiving her diagnosis of ADHD after her daughter Lily’s diagnosis!

A brilliant book to open discussions, learn, empathise, and celebrate difference- the core of what we aim to do with our books.

Lemon Jelly Press signs Lizzie Thomas to publish folklore-inspired Wightfolk Tales collection

10/09/2026

We’re very excited to announce that Lemon Jelly Press has signed Lizzie Thomas and her collection, The Wightfolk Tales.

Rooted in the folklore, landscape and strange old stories of the Isle of Wight, The Wightfolk Tales brings the Island’s myths and legends back into the light for a new generation of readers.

Expect dragons, ghosts, curious creatures, ancient tales and the sort of stories that have been passed from person to person for generations, all retold with Lizzie’s distinctive voice.

As an Isle of Wight publisher, this one feels particularly special to us. We love books that explore the stories tied to place, especially the weird, wonderful and slightly unsettling ones.
