It’s going to turn very wet for the remainder of today as some heavy blustery and possibly thundery showers move in from the west affecting all parts of the country especially across the northern counties. The showers will continue into this evening and overnight.

Cool wet and windy.
We have a mixture of all sorts today with heavy showers, sunny spells , cooler temperatures and strong winds.
The northwest wind will be quite strong across the northwest today with maximum gusts of up to 45mph and further inland and across to the east coast there will be gusts of up to
40mph which may cause some delays in flights.
Temperatures will average 15C although it will feel cooler so keep an extra layer handy along with an umbrella as there will be plenty of heavy rain mostly across the northern half of the country but mostly everywhere is at risk of a heavy shower today.

Wednesday have some showers which will turn heavy this afternoon coming in from the west and tracking northeast late afternoon into this evening with an increased risk of thunderstorms developing.

We have a lot of rain coming this evening with some very heavy downpours and there is a risk of thunderstorms developing. The heaviest of the rain will be along the east and northeast tonight with some flooding likely.
