I will be forever grateful and humbled by his compassion ❤️

I didn’t know I had hypermobility spectrum disorder back then (2015). Now, I understand my heat intolerance and dehydration more I can try to ensure these situations don’t happen when I travel:

💧 Carry water at all times
🧂 Replenish electrolytes
🪭 Use a handheld fan

However, if you find yourself in a situation like this, I hope you find your Chum Mey 💛

I’d love to hear your stories about strangers compassion in the comments ✍️

These symptoms could also be linked to other co-occurring issues.

Are you taking on the steps or opting for the lower energy options?

Montmartre in Paris is a beautiful part of the city to explore and it is home to the famous Sacre Coeur, which sits atop a hill with some incredible panoramic views, however this brings physical challenges.

Scroll through the photos for some of my tips on how you can do this conserving energy ⏩️

🚊 Funicular tickets can be bought at the machine at the entrances, or you can use your Paris travel card/day pass. Alternatively you can download the RATP app and purchase a ticket on your phone. €2.50 for each journey (day/travel passes can work out cheaper if you’re using public transport a lot)

🚂 Google the train for more information about the pick up points/stops/guide and pricing

🚶‍♀️‍➡️🚶🏻‍➡️🚶🏽‍♀️‍➡️the queue for Sacre Coeur didn’t take long to go down and entry is free. Take water/fan if it’s hot.

👣 It’s well worth taking the step free routes to explore the area.

🛌 stay at for incredible Paris views at a budget friendly price (imo). You can get Eiffel Tower or Sacre Coeur views from some of the rooms.

Bench captures 📸 Georgia edition 🇬🇪

Or places to rest your bum.

🪑 My journey travelling the world has led me to discover the beauty of benches to rest and pace my hypermobile (HSD) body.

Photos and videos of benches, me sat on benches, views from benches, people on benches, statues on benches. Messages on benches. Cats on benches. Things that aren’t benches but could be benches. My Georgia bench compilation has them all 🙌😂

I wouldn’t recommend sitting on the last one, it had the same dilapidated charm as some of the buildings.

Which bench would you choose to sit on?

Another birthday and another year of amazing travel adventures.

I’m forever learning about this beautiful world we live in and how I can travel it with the body I was given, whilst trying to help you all travel too 🌎

✍️ I constantly doubt how helpful my account and content is for others so drop me a comment if I have shared something over the past year you’ve found helpful for your travels, if you travel with a chronic illness or not 😊 and let me know what it was.

Every girl deserves to wake up in Paris on her birthday ✨

My Paris itinerary = champagne, croissants and as many views of the Eiffel Tower as possible ✔️

Birthdays are a privilege, don’t take them for granted 💫

Here’s why Tbilisi, Georgia will capture your heart, mind, and body… Especially travelling with Hypermobility spectrum disorder or a chronic illness.

Save this post for your next unique, charming and relaxing city break 🌍

Some caveats:
🛌 Although it is a great day trip base I do recommend staying in other places too because all of Georgia is well worth a visit.

✈️ Obviously, direct flights are available from other countries too, if you aren’t from England. London flight times aren’t the best so it is a bit of a compromise.

👣 Tbilisi is a big city so it’s not all walkable but the centre and old town is. It also has a metro.

Which reasons have moved it further up your list? Let me know ✍️

What is hypermobility?

I thought I’d go back to basics to explain what hypermobility is (being double jointed) and what hypermobility spectrum disorder (HSD) is.

💾 Save to refer back to

I haven’t mentioned Ehlers Danlos Syndromes (EDS) but they are also characterised by joint hypermobility but have differing diagnostic criteria to HSD. You’ll often see EDS and HSD referred to together as symptoms and management can be similar.

Did you know North Macedonia has a great microclimate for wine making with over 22,000 hectares of vineyards? It’s not somewhere you would immediately think of when you think of wine but it is delicious 😋

Now, picture this, it’s a beautiful sunny day and you’re sat out on a terrace with someone topping up your glass with crisp fresh wine…

Or it’s chucking it down outside and you’re looking for the perfect rainy day activity, hoping the raki will warm you through.

Guess which was my day? 😂

I highly recommend a visit to the wine monastery for wine tasting no matter the weather. I booked it through Viator (i will link in my story) as this option Included a pick up and drop off service from Ohrid Town. There are a range of tasting options available. I opted for the 5 wines and brandy tasting, accompanied by charcuterie.

It was such a great informative day and I even made friends with the couple on the table next to me (im friendly after a wine!) who bagged me extra wines to taste so safe to say I didn’t leave sober 🤪

Black and White or Colour?

There’s something captivating about the starkness of black and white photography. The sharp lines and intricate details truly come to life. Yet, when it’s time to share my photos, I find myself irresistibly drawn to the vibrant allure of color.

Life is a tapestry of shades and hues, and it’s the infusion of color that adds depth and intrigue to our world 🌈

Isn’t there something completely magical about rolling green fields intertwined by drystone walls, bathed in golden sunbeams?

This is Wensleydale, one of over 20 ‘Dales’ that make up the Yorkshire Dales in North Yorkshire 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Did you know Wensleydale is famous for it’s cheese?🧀 My favorite is Wensleydale and Cranberry cheese, if you have never tried it get it added to your shopping list 😋 and if you’re in the area make a visit to in Hawes 😃

I’m currently dreaming of the days when those sun rays will produce more heat than they are currently 🥶

The Christ of Havana: A Majestic Symbol of Faith, Beauty & Cuban tradition;

Local legend says it’s holding a cigar in one hand and a glass of rum in the other. I agree 🤭, would you?

The Christ of Havana, also known as "Cristo de la Habana" in Spanish, stands tall atop the hill of La Cabaña fortress, it is made of white Carrara marble, imported from Italy and it was completed in 1958.

From its elevated position, the statue offers an unparalleled panoramic view of Havana so pop it on your list for things to do and see in Havana, Cuba if you’re a view point lover like me 📸
