What a fantastic weekend of parties. Each one was completely different from the last and I loved every minute of it.

I started on Thursday with Naila and Connor’s wedding at Le Petit Chateau. Their night was a blend of RnB and dance classics with a peppering of Punjabi hits throughout.

Friday was Danielle and Phil’s wedding celebration at Newton Hall, Bold, Romantic & Fantastical. Their vision was all about indie, UK garage, RnB and funky house (and absolutely no Abba!). I think I nailed this perfectly.

On Saturday I finished the run with the 25th anniversary of Dawn and Harry at Alnwick Lodge. This one had a more traditional style of disco with a country theme and plenty of party classics (and ABBA).

🌟 Tonight’s the night! 🌟

It’s the Wedding Industry Awards North East Regional Final, and I’m so excited to be heading along! The competition this year is seriously strong, so I’m not getting my hopes up for a win - it really is the taking part that counts. Good luck to my peers and DJ John

Can’t wait to catch up with some amazing local supplier friends and celebrate all the talent we have in the North East wedding industry.

A big shout-out to some of the lovely venues I’ve had the pleasure of working in, who are also up for awards tonight — you all make this job such a joy! 💕
