Jesse- Nathan beating the odds and travelling again overseas, to Bulgaria on vacation. ( Last vacation, last year January, in Jamaica, he was hospitalised for 2 nights there.)

So I have decided to take Jesse- Nathan on holidays🏖🌴 with the family overseas

The last time we took him on vacation🌴🏖, was last January 2024, to Jamaica. However, unfortunately, he got ill and had to be hospitalised for two nights there.

It was devastating for me but God came through for us and we were able to enjoy the remaining eight days of our vacation, after he was discharged from hospital in Jamaica.

Understandably, I was apprehensive and feeling anxious, about taking him overseas again.

Even though I still feel a bit anxious, I have decided that it is now time for another vacation overseas✈️ and and so, we will be doing it, with God's help.

Today, I am feeling blessed, despite the challenges of looking after a child with special needs.

It's all about putting somebody else's needs before mine, at all times. This is something only true love can do.

If we desire to do it, the strength and grace will be given to us , to see this calling through.

My son was placed into my hands to be cared for by me. Why I was chosen, that I do not know, but I will tell you one thing; I am giving this all my energy and I endeavour to keep doing my best and keep showing up for him, speaking up for him and loving him unconditionally.

My son, Jesse- Nathan, as you know, has special needs. (He's my special child).

Jesse- Nathan is not yet able to walk, unfortunately and so he uses a wheelchair daily.

Jesse- Nathan's bedroom, wetroom and other facilities which he uses, are located on the 1st floor of our home.

In order for us to be able to transport Jesse- Nathan from the upper floor of the house, to the lower level of the home, we have to use what is called a ' 'Through Floor Lift'.

This lift has been installed to run straight from his bedroom , through the floors and down to the lounge/living room, which is where Jesse-Nathan spends most of his days.

Jesse- Nathan, as my 'chubby little bear' baby.

Back then, I didn't want to put him down and his older siblings would always fight about whose turn it was to hold him.

Still my chubby bear, just older.
