Do you happen to have a "bag of bags" lurking somewhere in a cupboard or pantry?

If so, we would love to have any spare bags you may have!

We reuse boxes where we can, but sometimes we really need bags, and our supplies are running low.

Plastic bags, bags for life, tote bags .... all will be very gratefully received.

You can bring them to Long Eaton Baptist Church Tuesdays and Fridays 10-12

Christ Church on Fridays 10-12

St Edwards Church Hall on Thursdays 10.30-12.30

The Red Arrows will perform a flypast as part of East Midlands Airport's 60th anniversary celebrations this weekend ✈️
The airport is working in partnership with East Midlands Aeropark, the aviation museum and airport viewing area near Castle Donington, to host an open weekend on July 19, 20 and 21.
The Red Arrows will carry out a flypast of the site on Sunday 20 July to delight crowds gathered at the Aeropark. There will also be flypasts of a Spitfire on the same day and a Dakota on Monday 21 July.
Hopefully you may get sight of the flypasts from your home - or better still go down to the Aeropark for better sightings and take a look around the museum
Note: aeropark Monday's flypast has been cancelled, the Dakota isn't flying either at the moment
Flypasts subject to weather conditions

Sawley teenager Izzy Pickering has accepted the invitation, by Sawley Parish Council, to ‘Switch On’ the Christmas Tree lights at this year’s Festive Celebrations. Izzy will be supported by her best friend Keeley.
Many of you will be aware that Izzy ( Isobel), is undergoing intensive chemotherapy in her battle against cancer - despite her illness and side effects from treatment, she remains positive and beams a big smile to everyone who meets her.
We wish her a succesful recovery and wish her well in furthering her dreams for the future.
A voluntary collection will be made at this years event for a cancer charity close to Izzy’s heart.
The Tree ‘Switch On’ will take place on Saturday afternoon, 29th November, outside Sawley Community Hall.
