As a new season is about to kick in, it’s about time we reveal 2 of our players leaving The Flaming Otters this season:

• Oscar Walsh - Oscar was one of the first names down when The Flaming Otters was first born. He played in our first ever match against The Top Kents, winning 4-1 and cementing himself as a team regular. Oscar is making the short trip over to The Wet Beavers to make another go at Super League. We wish him absolutely nothing but the best, and we will see him soon.

• Freddie Clarke - Freddie cemented himself as the media man from early doors, trying to give the players a professional feel, and to give you all an inside view about how people who like b**r and metal sticks interact. Quite something really. Sadly, this also means Freddie will be stepping down from The Flaming Otters page. He’ll be handing the reigns over to Ryan Jones. You’re all in safe hands… I think…

We have discovered an absolute serpent in our camp. We have recently discovered that London Inn landlord (and professional prick) ASHLEY HOLDING has been conspiring with The Wet Beavers, about tactics and how we plan to take the game to them this Saturday.

This week, The Flaming Otters are drowning out The Beavers.
Usually it would be a friendly, but a lot is going on behind the scenes. Verbal shots are being fired left right and centre and it’s lining up to be a belter.

And just like that, the curtain fell. On what has been a lack of a better word exceptional debut season as a Superleague team. We came, we saw, and we literally conquered! This all started off when Jan Syner graced the blessed question. ‘Wanna start a superleague team?’ A stray man wondered through the fair road of Gold Street. That man was Ryan Jones, who heeded Jan’s call and replied ‘yeah Gwan howay’. And the rest they say is history. We’d like to take a minute to just give one massive thank you to everyone that’s been involved with making it possible. From the committee, to the players, to the ‘fans’! We’re forever in your debt.
This is the start of something special ladies and gentlemen. We’ll see you soon.

🚨🦦T E A M N E W S 🦦🚨

This weekend is the FINAL game of our stay in Division 3. The boys in black and red have gone above and beyond throughout everything. And the important part is we’ve done it together. One last hoorah against The Ship Seamen at The Den, the now loved home of The Flaming Otters! Last time out was a hard fought 5-4 at their place, and on Saturday we’ll be out for one last goodbye to Division 3, and a hell of a message to Division 2!

Captain Jan Syner has named his team for the last time this season.

• PROMOTED TO VC, Adam Connett is now helping Jan Syner lead the Otters into our game, and he’ll be hoping to lead by example after an incredible season throughout.

• Mickey Crew gets his well deserved place for the last game of the season, after letting everyone know where he’s been!

• Freddie Clarke gets a late call up after Ian Pugsley has had to pull out due to other matters. Freddie will be keen to put on a good performance, as he looks to end the season without a loss.

• Murphy Horler is back! After a great stint in form, Murphy has been given the nod by Syner to finish off the season with a cap!
