Has any of my carping friends got a sleep system of some sort for sale? I don’t want to be spending big bucks but my Nash Junior is now way too small for me. I need a standard sleep system/bed chair. I’ve got something big coming up in about seven weeks time so I’ve got lots of preparing to do. Anyone got anything that is local to me? Would be ideal please let me know.

Well that’s it the van all loaded up and ready for the long 3 1/2 hour drive to Drennan Lindholme Leisure Lakes tomorrow late afternoon for the national weekend 🎣 looking forward to this as now I am old enough this year and fishing for Telford and district juniors group it’s a real honour and do my best!!! Look out for the big black crafter!!

Almost 3 years now and have done so much more over that time!!!

Exactly 1 year ago I made this page for Jacob just for fun, but when I look back at all the photos how much he’s accomplished over the whole year is incredible, proud dad and mum moment to be honest when he first started his match fishing early last year to where he’s got to now is a proper accomplishment for him people that I’ve met Jacob all know he has his problems and he does struggle ADHD  but when he’s fishing he loves it and anything fishing, in the last year we’ve not just taken on match fishing to a very high standard competitions, but also magnet fishing and sea fishing which he has had a go at this year. won’t be long before he starts to get his spinning rod out and starts looking for pike to catch along the river and lakes. Jacob has still lots to learn and to take on new challenges.  a big thank you also to Jeff Gibson at GIBBO'S TACKLE for were we get most of his fishing tackle!  also Marchant 773 Angling with Guy and family for always giving Jacob encouragement and challenging him at fishing competitions at tunnel barn  well you know he’s got a very busy October two matches at Tunnel Barn Farm, one match at Newlands Angling Club and a big match at Meadowlands run by Steven Porter and Barry Maddicott( Barry also invited Jacob to Todber Manor Fisheries for matches there from time to time)

Jacob‘s first two day mornings festival look at us second day meat line never done it before and he’s over the moon

It’s been a fantastic weekend at the 2 days junior festival Jacob fishing the cadets class at Moorlands Farm ran by Steven Porter and Grant Albutt.

Saturday we fished middles and draw peg 10, nice little area setup a few lines and fished well for the first few hours picking off slivers after slivers short on maggots last few hours it all went wrong and lake switched off and hard picking only a few more at the end of the match but weighted in for 5lb 4oz for 4th place

Sunday we were on high bank(never done great on this lake fished it three times and seem to not get it right). But today we had a new game plan, so drew peg 9  had a 3 short line set up two margin and the long pole. Started on long pole fished maggot with cuping micros and feeding maggot catching the odd sliver been feeding my meat lines for over half an hour so decided to fish them for a bit. I couldn’t go wrong for about two hours steady catching carp after carp small stamp of about 1 1/2 - 2lb with the occasional 3lb bonus fish going crazy for the meat, feeding a little corn/micro line aswell to swap on to when meat slows down just to keep going! Last hour it was slowing right down went down the edge and picked a couple more off still rotating my meat and corn line for a few more to finish off the match with 43lb 14oz for 5th about a pound behind Reggie Pierre in 4th and about 3lb behind Harley P in 3rd place I fantastic nice fishing and well done to 1st and second place as well  a great days fishing 🎣 again!!!

Reggie came 4th and in the money and went half with me all his winnings as we gave him abit I bait and he felt it was only right. What a spot on kid much appreciated big respect will do the same back. 

A proper social weekend nice bit of camping and a good chinwag between the kids and the adults even a cheeky bit of fishing on the Saturday night which everyone enjoys and the kids even throwing a ball around and having a bit of a run round all just nice to see in here.

We are on are way to Moorlands Farm Fishery for the 2 days festival. Early start going to be worth it two days of great fishing wish us luck 🎣🤞
