Job Club:Barton

Job Club:Barton Job Club:Barton is aimed at anyone seeking employment, looking for a change of career, training or further education.

Our group of volunteers are hoping to promote close ties with the local community, employers and Oxford’s colleges and universities, all in order that Barton residents have the best opportunities available to them to get into work. JC:B is a relaxed, friendly and informal atmosphere. Each week begins with a drop-in session with general information and a chance for everyone to chat. This is followe

d by a more focussed period which may cover topics such as:

• Confidence building
• Help with your CV
• Interview techniques and preparation
• Local volunteering opportunities
• Career planning
• Self-employment ideas

Launching Saturday July 23, it will take place each weekly, in the Barton Community Centre. JC:B will also aim to provide:
• Recruitment sections of local newspapers
• Internet access to seek for jobs online – with guidance
• Hands-on support for those who can’t use a computer
• Outsourced themed workshops/presentations from local businesses/colleges
• Information on local employers, and lots more. For more information about Job Club:Barton, please contact us: [email protected]
