Meet Xena, our founder and director.

Xena Holmes founded STRAT4 after being disappointed by the speed of progress and treatment of colleagues in the companies she worked for. She realised that to try to change the current system, from within, she would have to compromise her morals to rise to a position of power. So she ventured out on her own, as a self-employed consultant to defend a more dignified mode of existence and initiate the change that was so desperately needed.

Based in Brighton, Xena takes inspiration from a city whose history is rooted in protest. An avid reader, interlocutor and active member of the Green Party of England and Wales, Xena directs the work of STRAT4 to respect and enhance the freedom of others. Some of our clients include BlindSpot Think Tank, Lewes Climate Hub and Lewes District Anti-Racism Alliance, where we have developed strategic communications across comms channels.

Our services include evidence-led strategy development and implementation, capability building, leadership and teamwork training and workshops, horizon scanning, trend analysis, operational model innovation, risk management and enterprise wide transformation.

We are always looking to support projects that seek to enhance human life, health and sustenance. Our experience across grassroots movements and social and political theory means we have the experience and knowledge to define effective strategies for political, campaigning or advocacy movements seeking greater impact.

The need for urgent systemic change is broadly accepted although understanding of how to do it is rare. We can help you to do it.

👉🏼 Celebrating Pride is not a fringe event. It's not, as some claim to say, a waste of public money or resources.

The ability to love whoever you choose is a freedom of choice. It is a universal expression of the freedom to love who you choose, to be in a relationship with someone who you freely decide, rather than being directed by someone else or what society normalises or permits.

Recent moves by Reform councillors and councils to remove Pride flags, cancel Pride celebrations is an attack on democracy, an attack on liberty and equality for all. Pride is about everyone, that we have choice, and it is the role of the democratic state to secure this freedom for all its citizens.

Arguing that the state should remain "neutral" is tyranny of the default.

We are celebrating at Brighton Pride Festival, honouring our love, our history, our power. 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🖤🩶🤍🤎

It was such a pleasure to support this parliamentary delegation with media support, filming, storytelling and drone flights.

A wonderful afternoon learning about the restoration of the Cockshut stream in Lewes and the wonderful work of the Green-led council and partner groups to deliver for nature and people. 💚✊🏽

We are in crisis. The previous alliances and assurances cannot guarantee our hopes and our dreams.

Ahead of a screening of the People's Emergency Briefing, an attunement was shared with Lewes District Green Party members which provided the context for the film.

It's now either less bad or more bad, depending on what action we take today and now. This film will ask you to shatter your illusions of a world that was promised to us through unlimited growth. We cannot consume our way out of this crisis.

There is strength in community, in the people here today and great courage believing in your convictions and acting in the face of this emergency.

This film will ask us to change our lives.

🎭 What a great day!!! 4th of July 2026 at Lewes, UK celebrating 250 years since the Declaration of Independence and the influence of Lewes resident, Thomas Paine had with his work "Common Sense".

Organised by Lewes Climate Hub in collaboration with Thomas Paine: Legacy.

What moves us most about LDARA is their perseverance and dedication to shifting narratives over time, through events and providing information, they consistently show up in solidarity with diverse groups across the District to share joy and cultural experiences that provide points of access for communities to meet, exchange and talk.

Storytelling is more than just the scripted words, it is also about the visual cues: the sunrise on the horizon, the golden light, the panoramic views, the green rolling hills, the bird song, all symbolising the vision of hope offered by the Green Party.

All these distinctive elements go into making a great promo which embeds the values and the offering of this party that's long overdue its moment in the spotlight.

We woke up at 4:30am to achieve this shot with Councillor Paul Keene MIoL and we caught the best of what the morning had to offer. What a great day!

📽️ We were truly thrilled to be selected to film this short documentary for Philip Greenwood on his upcoming course, Pathfinders.

Pathfinders is a sacred course designed for young men, ages 15-25, to experience deep initiation and powerful rites of passage.

Initiation rites, particularly for young males, have been a part of many cultures throughout history. These rites of passage serve as a vital process for guiding boys into adulthood, offering them the opportunity to face challenges, discover their inner strength, and embrace their responsibilities within society.

In today’s world, where traditional initiation practices are often lost or overlooked, these rites are more important than ever for the well-being of both the individual and the wider community.
