Scour Records HQ are super proud to announce that we’ve snared us a ferret! But not just any ferret. Native to Auckland New Zealand, the long-haired Funk Ferret is world renowned for being notoriously good at digging for the sweetest samples; curating the finest mixtapes; crafting fantastic arrays of the chunkiest beats - in an effort to attract a mate; is hypoallergenic, and mostly ventures out at night. We are truly delighted to welcome our fellow furry friend to the Freemix family, and to our ever growing roster of certified party starters.

In his debut Freemix EP package he serves up ‘Disco Down’ - a sleazy mid-tempo disco-inspired groover with lashings of hip hop vocals, square synths, and super punchy drums. And ‘Makin Me High’ (somewhat of a team motto for us here at Scour HQ) - smoother than a Brazilian bobsleigh star, with plucked guitars, catchy vocals, and enough rhythm to turn an empty dance-floor into a dirty-dancing style rumba in minutes.

So, who’s ready for some funky disco good times, courtesy of the funkiest ferret on the planet?

As we draw the promotional campaign of our latest EP [🔊🎶 LINK IN COMMENTS] to a close, we wanted to say a final big "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" to all supporters. We hope you have enjoyed playing and partying with/to it during its first few weeks out in the wild. You’ve been awemazing, thank you!

Also wanted to give a big shout out to two background stars of the release - ButterVault on artwork and .j.benwell (aka Vancara) on animation - who’s skills have been invaluable toward the success of the release. Anybody out there seeking their awesome work, I’m sure they’d be delighted to hear from you!

And of course a huuuge thank you to Mood Swing & Chevy Bass Cheshire Music WBBL and Swim INC too - for entrusting us to release and support their awesome music. It’s been our absolute pleasure and a privilege to release this gem of an EP for you.
