So apparently, I wasn’t trusted to celebrate solo…

God looked at the calendar and said,
“Let’s make this interesting,”
and just like that my kid sister was added to the same day, same month, same chaos package deal.

Since then, every time I try to own my moment,
she’s right there like a perfectly timed sequel:

I light the candles she’s already leaning in.
I take the spotlight she’s adjusting it.
I say, “It’s MY birthday,”
and she goes, “Correction… it’s OUR birthday.”

Honestly, I can’t even be mad it’s been a lifelong twin-situation without the warning label.

Double the cake, double the noise, double the drama…
and somehow, double the love too (even if she insists on splitting everything 50/50, including attention).

So here’s to me and my built-in co-star
the original and the remix,
the headline and the feature,
the first-born energy and the Last born follow-up energy.

Still shining, still surviving the shared spotlight…
and still wondering how I got a lifetime partner in crime without signing anything.
