Thank you to everyone who supported me during this campaign. It’s been a real privilege to meet so many people, listen to your concerns, and spend time with this community over the past few months.

While it wasn’t the result we had hoped for, I’m proud that Labour achieved more votes here than at the last local election in Drake ward.

Thank you to everyone who voted for me and to everyone who supported this campaign — whether by knocking on doors, delivering leaflets, or simply sending a kind word of encouragement. It has meant more than I can say.

Congratulations to Saahi Aroori on her result, and thank you to all the candidates who put themselves forward.

The overall result proved what we already knew — that Greenbank and Mutley is a community built on kindness, inclusion, and respect, and that division and hate have no place here.

I’m standing to be our local Councillor for Drake ward because I care deeply about Mutley and Greenbank. I’ve lived locally, worked on North Hill, and I know how much this community means to the people who call it home.

Over the past few months, I’ve been out listening to residents and taking action on the issues people raise. Together, we’ve pushed for improvements to local bus services, worked with Charlotte Holloway - Councillor for Drake Ward to secure better lighting at the Ford Park Road entrance to Central Park, and got involved with new public arts plans in the area.

I believe in getting stuck in and getting things done.
In my day-to-day work, I help people access the support they need when systems aren’t working. That’s why I’ll be a strong voice for our community, including standing up for families who need better support with things like SEND and social care.

The election tomorrow matters. With votes split, there’s a real risk of the wrong result for our area. If elected, I’ll work hard for cleaner streets, safer parks, and a community where neighbours look out for one another. Please lend me your support.

As a woman, a mother of two girls, a sister, and a friend, I am committed to representing the voices of women and girls across Plymouth, especially in Greenbank and Mutley.

Every woman and girl deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard in her community. I want to work alongside local women to help make that a reality.

That means taking practical action - improving street lighting, working closely with local police, and supporting initiatives that make our streets and public spaces safer.

But it also means tackling the root causes of violence and abuse. We must support boys and young men to understand misogyny, consent, and healthy relationships, while ensuring girls and women can recognise abuse, feel empowered to speak up, and know where to turn for help.

Plymouth is already home to incredible organisations carrying out this vital work, including Trevi and PDAS. I will champion and protect these services so they can continue supporting those who need them most.

Ending violence against women and girls requires a whole community approach - one built on prevention, education, support, and accountability ❤️

Housing is deeply personal to me.

At 18, I was living in an HMO. Later, I moved into a damp flat that ruined my belongings. In 2023, while pregnant, I was served a Section 21 notice and forced through the homelessness system. It was frightening and exhausting - and no one should have to go through it.

That’s why renters’ rights matter.

The current reforms are a huge step forward, but there’s more we can do locally too: support renters, hold bad landlords to account, and offer earlier, compassionate help so people don’t reach crisis point.

I work with people navigating this system every day. I understand it - both professionally and through my own lived experience.

I’m standing to make housing fairer, kinder, and focused on preventing homelessness before it happens.

Everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home, and these reforms, alongside stronger local authority support, will make a real difference to people’s lives.
