Good morning everyone this is a beautiful pictorial story of my dear friend Jean Hannell’s beautiful life 💕

Jean is a true inspiration to us all and has done some amazing work with Mother Teresa. I’m so incredibly proud of Jean raising her beautiful family through the war and really making the most of her precious life. The first picture below Jean was born in 1935, the second picture in 1937.

Following on from there the beach after the war and then going dancing in the 1950s. Also a beautiful photo of Jean and her gorgeous children in Australia in 1971.

Jean then went to work with Mother Teresa in Calcutta in India in 1996 which is so very inspiring and a lovely photo where she is feeling Baby Kashmira.

There is then a beautiful heartfelt poem and a photo of Mother Teresa giving medallions to the children from Shishu Bavan.

Finally Jeans beautiful home now where she has settled in gorgeous Crete.

Our mission in life is to love and support anyone struggling with their health. This is a beautiful story from my dear friend of overcoming difficult challenges ~

My Story by Jane C F Gill

I worked in the NHS for 30yrs starting as a pharmacy assistant in 1978 and getting my degree in pharmaceutical science in 1992 I took early retirement to care for my late parents in 2008 .

Whilst working I gained my private pilots licence and became a special Constable for 7 years and a Parish Councillor for my local village Yatton for 11yrs. I also did voluntary work for Bristol Airport .

I got bowel cancer in 2009 only 18 months after retiring. I had major surgery and a long course of chemo but thankfully I went into remission.

I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour in Christmas 2010 and it is being monitored.

My Bowel Cancer came back in 2017 again but I had chemotherapy and went into remission again.

Unfortunately last Christmas 2024 my bowel cancer returned for the third time but after nearly 8 months of chemotherapy I went into remission in July 2025. I am now enjoying my life again in recovery.

I am happily married to Mel for just over 12yrs and we live in Paignton and have a Park Home in Dawlish Warren, both in Devon.

I have always tried to stay focused and positive over the years as life is for living. I live each day to the best of my ability and enjoy each day to the fullest and want to support anyone who is going through difficult times.

I am very lucky to have some very close friends who are very supportive I think friends are so important in your life ,
I am very happy person with a smile on my face.

Now I am happy and healthy again and looking forward to my life with Mel and doing things together also looking forward to Christmas this year and lots of laughter ahead.

A little intro ~

My story began in 1979 at the age of 17 when I was involved in a serious motorbike accident which left me with a permanent disability.

It’s been a difficult 46 years however I believe there are always beautiful souls worse off. People who could really benefit from a hug or two; a listening ear and a knowledge they’re not alone.

I have a loving husband and 3 gorgeous children (all adults now) and my happiest achievement has been seeing my daughter through 26 years of surgeries and orthodontic work as Amy was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate 💕

In 2015 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I cannot thank my dear friend enough for taking me into nature especially by the ocean (Thatcher’s Rock) it truly was so therapeutic and helped me to look for the positives in life 🌊

I’m certainly not a medical professional I just have years of experience living with a disability and if I can lift the hearts and souls of others then I feel complete within myself. There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing you’ve made a difference in someone’s beautiful life.

To me happiness lies within our souls; when we are connected to the simple things in life ~ Mother Nature herself.

I hope you enjoy it here. I’d love to hear your stories and my greatest goal would be to arrange meet ups where we can all share in laughter; love and the virtual hugs become real.

Sending love to anyone struggling my heart is with you. Always believe in you as you are amazing. Keep believing; keep smiling and appreciate what you have.

At times the waves may be rough (I’ve been there often) but follow your heart to what makes you happy.

Don’t suffer alone let’s build a community where NO-ONE feels lonely; worried or traumatised about what the future holds. I believe together we can live our happiest lives and ride the waves of life together where each day becomes a blessing and the pain of yesterday is irrelevant.
