You don't need to go viral!!
Of course there are benefits to viral content.
HOWEVER... if your primarly goal for your business page is to generate enquiries from your content, you don't need to speak to everyone.
In fact, the more specific you get and the more you try to speak to your target audience, giving them genuine value, and most importantly just showing up as YOURSELF... that is what will bring you enquiries.
For example, look at my account!
If my goal was to get a million followers in a few weeks I would have failed π
But if my goal was to reach my ideal client, I have succeeded!
Although I only have just over 1.5k followers at the moment, the majority are people I align with... and a lot of you amazing people have enquired to work me, & quite a few of you have actually worked with me in some way! π©·
This is because I am not trying to get instagram famous. I don't need millions of followers (nothing wrong with that at all but I don't think I can personally handle it, I would be extremely overwhelmed π)
I just want to speak to people who are aligned with what I do, in a way where I can just show up as myself and not pretend to be something I'm not
Of course everyone is different, but this is how I grew my business in its first year.
Growth is still important. I grew my account from 300 followers to 1.5k when I started taking it more seriously.
I just think there is an important difference between wanting followers for vanity metrics because it looks good on paper, or wanting aligned growth that matches up with your goals.
I do also believe there is a middle ground for both, but for the sake of this post, I really wanted to highlight the difference as it is something I see people talking about a lot! ππ©·
