Outrigger Officially Unveils Ultra-Luxe 'Reef's Navigator Experience' Package

On the heels of Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort's $80 million transformation, Outrigger Resorts' flagship property is offering travelers an unforgettable opportunity for adventure with its 'Reef's Navigator Experience,' an ultra-luxe travel package that gives aspiring travelers the chance to book the entire 10,000 square foot 18th Floor – dubbed "the Navigator floor" in honor of Outrigger's voyaging roots. The Navigator floor consists of four first-class suites, 360-degree ocean and city views, exclusive amenities, and the largest private lanai Waikiki has to offer. 'The Reef's Experience' is perfect for families or friends looking to soak up all the luxury Hawaii has to offer including unforgettable excursions, such as:

A private helicopter tour (up to six people) with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters' Private Charters, to take in the natural beauty of the island from the sky. Sightseeing wish lists come to life as the helicopter soars over the iconic Waikiki coast, Pearl Harbor, and Diamond Head

After taking in the amazing views from above, guests can step aboard Noelini, the 75-foot Sunseeker Predator luxury motor yacht – the largest motor yacht in Hawai'i. 12 guests can enjoy first-class treatment of champagne, fresh fruits and pupu treats, as well as exciting water activities such as snorkeling and stand-up-paddleboarding

Guests will arrive in style both to and from these one-of-a-kind experiences by a private chauffer, operated by Platinum Limo. The VIP transportation company will help you feel ready and refreshed before and after your bucket-list day

As part of Outrigger's commitment to honoring Hawaiian culture, the Navigator Floor's four penthouse suites are named in honor of Hawai'i's esteemed Pwo Navigators. Each of the five bedrooms feature a print of Hōkūle'a, the canoe that inspired millions when it sailed around the world using only signs from nature – such as the ocean currents, wind and stars.

Heesen Yachts Starts Construction Of Project Oslo24

Heesen Yachts has announced that it has started the construction of YN 20150, code-named Project Oslo24. The owners and their family attended the keel-laying ceremony on 4th October, and welded their ‘good luck coins’ to section three, where the IMO number was engraved. The ceremony was formally witnessed by a Lloyd’s Register surveyor who signed off this first stage in the yacht’s build.

Project Oslo24 is a highly customised motor yacht based on the proven platform of the 50-metre Steel Class. She will be equipped with Heesen’s hybrid system, which offers indisputable advantages over traditional diesel propulsion. The owner, an experienced yachtsman, made this choice with the clear intent of creating a yacht that is cleaner, quieter and more efficient than comparable conventional craft.

Heesen presented the BlueNautech programme at the recent Monaco Yacht Show, which is the next step towards a more sustainable future in yachting for the Dutch shipyard. From the very beginning, Heesen has been committed to building lightweight and efficient yachts, with particular attention to smart engineering, clever propulsion and slippery hulls.

Friso Visser, Heesen CCO, commented: “We were the first shipyard who dared to take the financial risk of building hybrid yachts on speculation and today, all our yachts are available with hybrid propulsion as an option. ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’ is our mantra. Today, that change is real. It is a pleasure to see that clients trust our systems and decide to implement them in their highly customised yachts to reduce their footprint.”

The Heesen hybrid drivetrain draws on diesel engines and electric motors, together or individually and in any combination, for both propulsion and hotel needs. In the automotive world such systems typically emphasise energy-saving and reducing emissions, but hybrid propulsion at sea has a broader set of aims. Silent cruising and minimal vibration enormously enhance comfort levels on board and are especially appealing during night passages.

The heart of the system is the yacht’s twin MTU 8V4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) main engines, each one coupled to a water-cooled, 135kW Danfoss electric motor on the same propeller shaft. This streamlined configuration offers versatility, flexible power management, and redundancy, with three operational modes: Silent, Economy and Cruising.

The owner and his family are working closely with Luca Dini Design and Architecture to create an interior that incorporates plenty of fine details connected to their life at sea and the areas they will be exploring aboard their yacht. Contrasting dark, high-gloss and light matte wood finishes, with a ribbed canneté texture to evoke the forests, blend with soft leather in warm tones to create a snug environment to offer guests a refuge when the air is brisk and chilly outside.

“The owner of Oslo24 and his family are deeply involved in every aspect of this project,” said Stefan Zucker of Zucker and Partner, the owner’s representative. “For us, this makes it an even more exciting project.”

YN 20150 Project Oslo24 is due for delivery in March 2024.

Ferrari Trento Commemorates Four Iconic Grand Prix With Limited Edition Bottles

Ferrari Trento has chosen the Formula 1 Heineken Gran Premio d'Italia 2021, scheduled on 12th September in Monza, to present its new Ferrari F1® Limited Edition, a special Blanc de Blancs cuvée that celebrates four of the iconic Grands Prix in the FIA Formula 1® World Championship, for which the Trentino-based producer is the official toast.

This special wine will be available in four versions, each dedicated to one of the circuits that are dearest to the hearts of lovers of motor sports: apart from Monza also Silverstone, Suzuka and Sochi will in fact have their own label and customised gift pack, with an attractive, dynamic design.

The Ferrari F1® Limited Edition is a Blanc de Blancs Trentodoc, an expression of that Chardonnay from mountainside vineyards which the winery in the Lunelli Group has made popular all over the world. Matured on its lees for 38 month,s it displays great intensity on the nose, with notes of ripe fruit as well as hints of crusty bread and hazelnuts; the wine's flavour is inviting and satisfying, thanks to its freshness and the fineness of its bubbles, with an aftertaste that combines mineral sensations with citrusy nuances.

The Ferrari F1® Limited Edition is, therefore, a must-have for enthusiasts and collectors, who will be able to buy all four versions in the best wine shops and online, as well as at the Ferrari winery (for information: [email protected], tel. +39 0461 972331). Owning one of these bottles means adding to one's cellar a wine that automatically represents a little piece of history, because it celebrates the first time that an Italian sparkling wine has been on the podium of the FIA Formula 1® World Championship.

Gleneagles And Shand Join Forces For Exceptional Cycling Experiences

Much-loved Perthshire Estate, Gleneagles, is delighted to announce its partnership with Scottish bike brand, Shand, offering guests expert-led cycling experiences on Shand's bespoke Stoater bikes built specifically for guests of the hotel.

Designed to traverse a multitude of terrain, it is the Stoater's versatility which make them perfect for Gleneagles' 850-acre surrounds. To mark the launch, Gleneagles is delighted to introduce a dedicated one-night Shand Adventure experience for cycling pros and enthusiasts alike.

Designed by experienced adventure cyclist and Shand ambassador, Stuart Allan, guests will have a choice of three trails encompassing contrasting landscapes in the Perthshire countryside. The trails are varied and include a glorious 43km Glendevon Gravel route, a 56km Drummond Castle Circuit and a longer 92km Loch Earn Loop.

As part of the newly introduced experience, guests will have the opportunity to ride with one of Gleneagles' expert guides in tow before pit-stopping for a scenic picnic midway (where there will be an opportunity to spot Osprey and Red Kites flying overhead!). Once back at the hotel, guests are invited to recuperate with one of the hotel's newly introduced botanical treatments in the recently refreshed spa designed specifically for recovery.

In ensuring the bikes' versatility, Shand – who design, build, and assemble bespoke bikes in Livingston – have used derailleur cogs in the back wheel and have implemented a Rohloff hub to protect the gears from dirt and dust. The bikes are also fitted with an efficient carbon belt drive instead of a standard metal chain to ensure smooth cycling.

Gleneagles' Director of Leisure, Colin Farndon said: "We are excited to present a new adventure cycling experience to our guests, who will benefit from four hand built and painted bikes especially for us in our traditional olive-green colour with gold contour lines, emblematic of our Great Adventure Race".

"It is special to partner with Shand, which like Gleneagles, is rooted in and inspired by Scotland and its unique landscape."

Shand's General Manager, Ann Ritchie-Cox, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be working with the team at Gleneagles to showcase the Stoater. Gleneagles is an iconic destination, which is steeped in Scottish tradition and history in a most beautiful part of Scotland. The trails will offer cyclists an adventurous means of enjoying the magnificent Scottish countryside while appreciating the versatility the bike has to offer. We are sure the guests at Gleneagles will love the new offering."

“A key focus of the partnership will be our commitment to a more sustainable future. The breath-taking natural landscape at The Macallan Estate provides the perfect platform for us to embark together on this exciting and extraordinary journey.”

Bentley’s Chairman and Chief Executive, Adrian Hallmark, said: “Transforming Bentley into the world’s most sustainable luxury car company is an exciting journey, and I’m delighted to be working with The Macallan with one common goal – to both lead our fields as we work towards a more sustainable future.

“We will learn from each other in the coming months and years to advance our programmes together, and on the way work on some truly extraordinary experiences, projects and products. Our brands are two that share the same ethos - the passion for exceptional quality, a respect for artisanal handcraftsmanship, and now a drive towards genuine, world-leading sustainability. I’m looking forward to the adventure together.”

Established by Alexander Reid on a plateau above the River Spey in north-east Scotland in 1824, The Macallan is renowned across the globe for its extraordinary single malt whiskies. Nurtured by nature for almost 200 years, sustainability is a constant guiding principle for the brand. Its wide-reaching sustainability strategy incorporates a range of elements including giving back to communities; nurturing The Macallan Estate; progressive packaging; and partnering with sustainable suppliers.

Key goals are achieving carbon neutrality on The Macallan Estate by 2030, promoting responsible sourcing and cultivating a global community of artisans. It is also committed to having a fully electric passenger vehicle fleet on The Macallan Estate by 2025. Following the partnership announcement with Bentley Motors, the brand will take delivery of two hybrid Bentleys this year.
