We've had lots of new followers recently, so here's a big welcome to everyone!
It's been a crazy-busy few months, but a particularly exciting week, which began for us at Manchester Central Library. We had the honour of discussing the Big Thinking Publishing ethos that strives to put inclusivity and positive representation at the core of everything we publish, in order to serve communities around the country.
At BTP we believe libraries are the heart of stronger communities, and the start of a lifelong reading journey.
Thatâs why we work with libraries and schools across the country to motivate young people, especially teenage boys, to read for pleasure. Our childrenâs titles and mid-grade books offer new perspectives for some, and relevant representation for others, with joyous storylines and incredible writing. As partners in the National Literacy Trustâs Year of Reading 2026, and through our own school initiatives, weâre showing how reading boosts education, qualifications, and future employability.
But just as important is whatâs on the shelves for everybody.
We aim to supply diverse, inclusive texts to library distributors, making sure that communities - including the UKâs largest demographic of library users, the LGBTQ+ community - are represented and celebrated. đ
Together, weâre helping young people see the benefits of reading, and helping every reader see themselves in a story. Because representation and habit both change lives đŞđž
