Apparently, I’m a BAD social media manager… 👀

Because I make social media feel too easy. 😂

I’m not here to make your life more complicated, give you another list of things to do or have you spending your evenings wondering what on earth you should post.

It's actually quite the opposite. 🙋‍♀️

My job is to take social media off your plate. Take away that constant reminder that you haven't posted this week, you don't know what to post, and you know you're missing out on showing up online.

I take the content, ideas, planning and creating and turn it into social media that actually feels like your business.

✔️ You don’t need to spend hours thinking of ideas.
✔️ You don’t need to panic about what to post tomorrow.
✔️ You don’t need to squeeze content creation into an already packed week.
✔️ And you definitely don’t need social media sitting at the bottom of your to-do list, making you feel guilty. 🙅‍♀️

Instead, you get to hand it over, know it’s being taken care of and get that time back to focus on the parts of your business that actually need you.

Having a social media manager shouldn't feel like adding another person to manage. I'm not here to give you more things to do AT ALL!

I'm here to give you that "one huge thing has been taken off your plate" feeling.

And honestly? I really, really do. ♥️

From brand-new businesses finding their feet, to established businesses ready for their next chapter. From reformer Pilates to car repairs, grazing tables to garages, garden rooms and everything in between…

I bloody love it. ☺️

I love the people behind the businesses. The stories, the ideas, the big dreams, the tiny details and the “I have absolutely no idea where to start” moments 😂

I love hearing:
✨ “I genuinely don’t know what I’d do without you.”
✨ “Oh my gosh… I couldn’t imagine it would ever look this good.”
✨ “WE DID IT!”

I love celebrating the wins, the awards, the launches, the results, the milestones, and all the little victories that happen along the way.

Because when I work with you, I care about your business like it’s my own. Your success genuinely feels like my success and I’ll celebrate with you 🍾

Maybe that’s why I love what I do so much.

It’s never just a business to me. It’s people, passion, ambition, hard work and watching something you’ve poured your heart into become everything you hoped it could be.

So yes… kinda chic to actually love your job. ✨

I will happily admit, I use it. It saves me time, helps me brainstorm ideas and gets me out of those "I have absolutely no idea what to post today" moments or even those "I know the angle I want to go with this post, but I don't know how to word it".

But somewhere along the way, it appears we have started letting AI do all the talking.

From writing the captions with those telltale signs... IYKYK 😭
The reels where beers appear from hands with 7 fingers... 👀
Those text-heavy "flyer" posts... yuk. (soz) 🤢
The graphics that all look exactly the same. ❌

And honestly...

It's becoming really obvious.🙈
Your social media starts looking like everyone else's. 🫣
Your personality disappears. 😭
Your brand loses what makes it, which is you! 👋

People don't follow your business because they want perfectly polished, AI-generated content. They follow because they want to get to know the person behind the business.

Things like

✅ Your sense of humour.
✅ Your stories.
✅ Your behind-the-scenes.
✅ Your opinions.
✅ Your wins.
✅ Your coffee order ☕

It's the little things that make people think, "I like them. I'd buy from them."

I have had several conversations with many businesses, friends, and clients, and we avoid any engagement with those posts because we know it's not you... WE WANT YOU!

So yes, use AI.

✨ Use it to spark ideas when you're wondering what to post.
✨ Use it to help you work out an angle for a particular caption.
✨ Use it to make your life easier.

But please... don't let it become your entire marketing strategy. 😂

AND ALSO.... If you're advertising an event, I'd rather see a picture of you, your bar, office, workspace, venue, or products with the info in the caption than an AI post - that way you're more likely to get my attention.

Stop overthinking it. ❤️

Somewhere along the way, we've convinced ourselves that every post needs to be perfectly edited, every Reel needs to go viral, and every caption needs to be groundbreaking.

It REALLY doesn't.

The businesses I see growing consistently aren't necessarily the ones with the fanciest equipment or the biggest budgets.

🤩 They're the ones who keep showing up.
🤩 They share the behind-the-scenes.
🤩 They answer questions.
🤩 They celebrate their wins.
🤩 They let people get to know the faces behind the business.

At the end of the day, people don't buy from perfect businesses... they buy from businesses they know, like, trust and have built a connection.

So if you've been sat staring at your phone wondering whether your post is "good enough", here's your sign to stop tweaking it and just hit publish.

Your audience would much rather hear from the real you than hear nothing at all.

✨ Progress over perfection.
✨ Consistency over chasing viral moments.
✨ Authenticity over trying to be someone you're not.

Find yourself staring at your phone thinking...

"What on earth am I going to post today?" 🤯

So... you don't post. ❌

Then tomorrow rolls around, and you avoid it again because you still don't know what to post. 🙈

Before you know it, a week has passed. Then two. 📅

Now it feels like you've been quiet for so long that the pressure to post something really good starts to creep in. You overthink every caption, every photo, every Reel... and suddenly posting feels completely overwhelming. 😭

It's not just you! It's something I hear all the time from clients, so rest assured, we all get this feeling.

The thing is, the longer you leave it, the bigger that mental block becomes and the more overwhelming it is. Then you feel you need to do a "I'm Back!" post to apologise.

Here's your reminder that your audience isn't expecting perfection. They're just waiting to hear from you. 👋🏼

If you're feeling stuck, keep it simple. Try posting one of these today:

✨ Answer a question you get asked all the time.
✨ Share a recent project or piece of work you're proud of.
✨ Take people behind the scenes of your day.
✨ Introduce yourself (or reintroduce yourself!).
✨ Share a client testimonial or kind review.
✨ Tell people why you started your business.
✨ Show us something that your customers are obsessed with.
✨ Share with us what your biggest achievement is or something you're proud of recently.

You don't need the perfect post, and most of the time you'll be overthinking and missing the purpose of the post.

You just need to post.

Small, consistent steps will always beat waiting for the "right" moment.

Currently obsessed with the content I’ve been creating with clients lately 🫶

The last couple of months have been such a reminder of why I started Valley Social in the first place… I genuinely love getting behind the camera and bringing businesses to life online.

My camera roll has been filled with:

✨ Reformer Pilates classes
✨ Lifestyle store
✨ Wholefoods & independent food businesses
✨ Catering companies
✨ Bespoke kitchen designers
✨ Car repair companies
✨ And so many other brilliant local businesses

No two shoots are ever the same, and that’s exactly what keeps me inspired. One day I’m filming a calm Pilates class, the next I’m capturing a grazing table set up at an event, or a freshly repaired car 🚗📸

Thank you to every client who asks me to film with them and show their business online! I honestly get just as excited about your business as you do, and I feel very proud when it goes out!

Also… where have I been? 👀

I know I’m always banging on to clients about the importance of showing up consistently on social media, and then I went a little quiet myself! But the truth is… we’re all human, life gets busy, things happen and before you know it, you're burying your head in the sand. 🙃

I’ve been incredibly busy, and honestly, I couldn’t be more grateful. I've won a fabulous new contract with a big client and had to most content only clients sign up ❤️

The last few months have been filled with travelling from content shoot to content shoot, meeting amazing business owners and creating content that truly showcases what they do. It’s the part of my job I love the most. While my own socials have taken a little back seat, I’ve been out doing exactly what I set out to do, helping businesses tell their story through engaging content.

Every clip in this Reel is from a different client shoot, and I think it perfectly sums up why I love what I do. No two businesses are the same, and I genuinely love the variety, the people I meet, and getting to bring each brand to life.

But what I love most isn't the compliment...

It's what sits behind it.

✨ The relief of not having to think about what to post.
✨ The confidence that your content actually sounds like you.
✨ The excitement of seeing a plan come together.
✨ The feeling of finally having one less thing on your never-ending to-do list.

Because let's be honest, most business owners don't struggle with social media because they don't care about it; they struggle because they're busy running a business.

They're juggling clients, enquiries, admin, meetings, family life and everything in between.

So when a client can open a content plan and think, "Yes, that's exactly what I wanted", that's a win for me 🎉

✅ No more creative blocks.
✅ No more last-minute posting.
