🐏🌸 Cornwall’s newest off-grid hideaway has the BEST views ever - and it's dog-friendly! 🛖🐶
Last night, we spent the final night of our Cornwall trip tucked away in this gorgeous little shepherd’s hut near Penzance ☀️🌿 A proper switch-off stay, complete with a wood-fired hot tub, panoramic views, and absolutely zero WiFi or distractions 😌📵 Honestly, it was such a lovely way to end the holiday 🙏🏻
Tucked away at the top of a peaceful meadow, the hut sits on a small agritourism smallholding with a whole menagerie of animals 🐓🐏 And because we were only the SECOND guests ever to stay here, everything still felt completely brand new, spotless and untouched 🥰
The hut itself is cosy and compact, but had everything we needed for one night away:
• 🔥 A wood-fired hot tub, which heated up surprisingly quickly
• 🛏️ A comfy double bed, with a porthole window for morning views
• 🚿 A hot shower, fluffy towels and robes provided
• 🍳 A compact kitchenette with a kettle, toaster and cool box fridge
• 🚽 A waterless compost loo… definitely an experience 😂
• 🪟 Huge double doors and windows overlooking the valley
• 🍖 BBQ grill, plus outdoor table and seating
The smallholding itself is home to rare breed sheep, goats, chickens, quail, rabbits, guinea pigs and even a holidaying donkey 🫏🐓🐑 Though the animals are kept in separate enclosures nearby, it’s probably worth noting that this may not be the ideal stay for dogs reactive to animal noises 🫏🐷
The shepherd’s hut has its own private little spot overlooking the valley, Marazion beach and St Michael’s Mount 🌅 The lovely Airbnb host Graham does prefer dogs to stay on lead around the site so as not to spook the animals, so we kept Olive & Errol on long lines during our stay 🐾
One thing worth mentioning: the listing allows for one well-behaved dog, but after chatting with Graham beforehand, we were kindly allowed to bring both Olive & Errol 🐕🐕 (because honestly… how are you supposed to choose between them?! 😭)
And let’s not forget the VIEW 😍 We spent the evening sitting outside with cold drinks, looking out
