🇮🇹 Comment “ITALY” to get early access to our Complete Italy Guide — launching NEXT WEEK with an early-bird discount + exclusive bonuses.

🇻🇦 ON A BREAK IN ITALY
Episode 10/20 – The Ultimate Vatican City Guide

If you’re new here, follow as we share everything we learnt from our South Italy trip — itineraries, costs, stays, food spots, transport and mistakes to avoid.

Visiting Vatican City? Here’s what you need to know 👇

🎨 Vatican Museums
Don’t rush straight to the Sistine Chapel. Look out for the Gallery of Maps, Raphael Rooms, Gallery of Tapestries, Round Hall and some incredible ancient sculptures along the way.

🖼️ Sistine Chapel
Michelangelo’s ceiling + The Last Judgment. Photography isn’t allowed inside, so enjoy this one without your phone.

⛪ St. Peter’s Basilica
Free to enter, but expect security queues. Don’t miss Michelangelo’s Pietà and Bernini’s Baldachin.

🌇 St. Peter’s Dome
Ticketed separately. Even with the lift option, you’ll still have stairs to climb — but the view over Vatican City and Rome is worth it.

🏰 Castel Sant’Angelo
Easy to combine with your Vatican day. Afterwards, walk towards Ponte Umberto I for one of our favourite sunset views of St. Peter’s.

🎟️ BOOK EARLY: This was one of our biggest Italy mistakes. We left our tickets too late and ended up paying significantly more through a third party. Check official tickets first and book well ahead if your dates are fixed.

👗 DRESS CODE: Keep shoulders and knees covered for religious sites. A light scarf is useful during summer.

⏰ TIME NEEDED: Give Vatican City most of a day. Museums + Sistine Chapel + Basilica + Dome is a lot more than it looks on Google Maps!

💡 And don’t schedule another major attraction immediately afterwards — give yourself time to actually enjoy it.

🇮🇹 Our Complete Italy Guide launches NEXT WEEK, covering our itinerary, stays, transport, costs, food spots, booking advice, mistakes and everything we wish we’d known beforehand.

💬 Comment “ITALY” for early access + launch discount and exclusive bonuses.

📌 Save this for Vatican City and share it wit

Okay, this is a little more personal than our usual posts.

H and I have had quite a journey… we met young, drifted apart, somehow kept crossing paths, and eventually found our way back to each other.

The way it happened is still one of those stories that makes me think, wow that’s crazy!!

So I put the whole backstory in the following slide…

Read it if you feel like it… no pressure 🤭

Backstory…

If you’ve found your rare person, hold on to them.

Don’t let your lobster float away 🦞 ❤️

Planning a Schengen trip but dreading the visa process? Save this.

For our Belgium trip, we partnered with to help us with our Schengen visa application and having someone guide us through the process made planning the actual trip a lot easier.

They helped us with:

📅 Securing our visa appointment
📝 Application forms
📄 Cover letter
📂 Supporting document checklist
💬 Updates and guidance throughout the process

When you both work full-time, the difficult part isn’t always planning where to go, it’s finding the time to figure out appointments, paperwork and whether you’ve missed something important.

Having that part taken care of meant we could focus on what we actually wanted to do: make the most of a short Belgium break around our 9–5 jobs.

And that’s exactly what we did: Ghent, Bruges, Belgian waffles, beers and a whole new country squeezed into one long weekend. 🇧🇪❤️

A visa service can’t guarantee an approval, the final decision always rests with the relevant embassy/consulate but having support with the application process can make it feel far less overwhelming.

💬 Comment “VISA” and we’ll send you Travel11’s details.

📌 Save this if a Schengen trip is on your list, and share it with someone who’s currently trying to figure out their visa application.
