I’ve been absolutely loving Beach Read by Emily Henry—funny, heartfelt, and the perfect mix of romance and real life. One of those reads that makes you want to slow down and savor every chapter 📖💛

FREIDA’S NEW BOOK!!!!!
With stunning sprayed edges 🥰

DEAR DEBBIE
“Sometimes, enough is enough…
Debbie Mullen is losing it. For years, she has compiled all of her best advice into her column, Dear Debbie, where the wives of New England come for sympathy and neighbourly advice. Through her work, Debbie has heard form countless women who are ignored, belittled, or even abused by their husbands. and Debbie does her best to guide them in the right direction.
Or at least, she did.
These days Debbie’s life seems to be spiralling out of control.

Book Review: Truly, Devious by Maureen Johnson

Truly, Devious is a mystery novel set at the prestigious Ellingham Academy, where a decades-old kidnapping and murder case continues to haunt the school. When new student Stevie Bell arrives, determined to solve the infamous crime, the past and present begin to intertwine in unexpected ways.

The premise is intriguing, and the atmospheric setting adds a strong sense of mystery. Johnson does a good job building suspense and planting clues, especially through the dual timelines. However, the pacing felt slow at times. While the buildup is deliberate, it occasionally drags, which made it harder to stay fully engaged throughout the middle of the book.

Overall, Truly, Devious has an interesting concept and a solid mystery, but the slower pacing kept it from being more compelling for me. For that reason, I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. It may appeal more to readers who enjoy methodical, slow-burn mysteries and are willing to wait for the payoff.

Read 12 books recommended by 12 friends.

I’ll take the first 12 listed by 12 different people in the comments. (If I haven’t read them already)!

Only rules are that:
📚You can only make one recommendation
📚 It should be a book you have read and love.

If I have already read one of the first 12 recommendations, I’ll go to the next one listed.

Saw this posted in another group and love this idea! I'm looking forward to some great recommendations!!

Let's add to that 2026 TBR list! 🙏🩷
