So Saturday saw us with 30 miles. 5,000+ ft of climbing… & at least One bird judging us. 🐦

Refuelled at Tŷ Penbont where the pancakes were outstanding… and, as expected, Millsy once again single-handedly caused a national shortage of maple syrup. 🍁

Then it was off to conquer the infamous Gwastedyn climb. Legs were screaming, lungs had submitted their resignation, and our life insurance policies were briefly discussed… but the panoramic views over Rhayader were worth every poor decision that got us there.

Finished the day with a well-earned San Miguel, because hydration is important… eventually. 🍺

Same time next week? Assuming Millsy can be peeled off the syrup bottle.

🚴‍♂️ ELAN E-RIDERS ARE BACK… 🚴‍♂️

After what feels like a winter hibernation mixed with mechanical excuses, work commitments, dodgy weather and “I’ll definitely come next week” messages… we’re finally heading back out tomorrow 10th May 😅

Plan is roughly 20–25 miles-ish.
Route: unknown.
Destination: questionable.
Leadership: concerning.

One rider apparently has a route planned.
The other is just praying every turning somehow leads back to 🥓 🥞 ☕️ 🍺 Tŷ Penbont.

Expect:
✔️ questionable navigation
✔️ unnecessary climbs
✔️ mid-ride abuse
✔️ snack stops nobody admits to needing
✔️ someone saying “it’s all downhill from here” when it absolutely isn’t

If you fancy dusting the cobwebs off the bike and joining the chaos, come along 👊

We’ve survived it.
The cold 🥶
The rain 🌧️
The ice 🧊
The snow ❄️
The wind that tries to blow you back into 2024 💨

Yes… the weather has been absolutely miserable.
BUT… a new year means fresh legs, fresh excuses, and it’s time to blow the cobwebs off both bikes and riders 🚴‍♂️💪

We’ve all been waiting for Tŷ Penbont to open again as an excuse…
Well… bad news everyone 😏 — they’re now open.
That’s one less excuse left in the hat ☕🍰

January ✔️
February already trying to do a runner…
Who’s up for a ride before it’s March?! 🚴‍♂️🔥

No pressure.
No racing.
No Strava shame (well… minimal).
Just good banter, steady miles, and reminding ourselves why we love riding — even when our fingers go numb and our faces forget how to smile 😅
