Another custom blanket completed and gifted! 🎉

One thing I’ve learned from running my children’s blanket-making workshop… apparently desks are completely optional! 😂

Out of 12 children, 9 decided they were much more comfortable making their blankets sat on top of the desks rather than at the desks! 🧶

As long as they’re comfortable, having fun, and creating beautiful blankets, who am I to argue? 😊

I absolutely love seeing their personalities shine through and watching their confidence grow each week. The creativity, determination, and laughter they bring to every session make it all worthwhile.

Safe to say, blanket making comes with its own unique seating arrangements! 😂💜

With our school fair coming up on Saturday, I decided to set myself a challenge and try the Intarsia knitting method for the very first time!

Intarsia allows you to change colours without carrying the yarn across the back, creating neat colour blocks and designs. It sounds simple enough, but it meant I was working with FIVE balls of yarn at the same time! 🧶😅

It was definitely a little tricky and there were a few tangled moments along the way, but I’m so pleased I persevered. The colours, Milky Tea and Pink, work beautifully together, and I absolutely love how the hearts have turned out. 💗

I’m really proud of this one and can’t wait to share it at the school fair on Saturday!

With our school fair coming up on Saturday, I decided to set myself a challenge and try the Intarsia hand knitting method for the very first time!

Intarsia allows you to change colours without burning the yarn at each colour change therefore carrying the yarn across the back, creating neat colour blocks and designs. It sounds simple enough, but it meant I was working with FIVE balls of yarn at the same time! 🧶😅

Today is the opening day of All Things Bright and I’m so excited to finally share my handmade items displayed in the shop! 🧶✨

Seeing my knitted creations beautifully set out alongside so many other talented local makers feels very special. There’s such a lovely mix of handmade gifts, crafts and unique items available — definitely worth a visit if you’re local. ❤️

Tonight was the final session of my first children’s blanket making workshop and I couldn’t be prouder of what the children have achieved ❤️

Over the last 6 weeks they have worked so hard, learnt new skills, shown so much patience and creativity, and tonight we finished with 5 absolutely beautiful handmade blankets 🧶✨

Seeing their confidence grow each week has been so lovely, and they should all be incredibly proud of themselves. Thank you to all the parents for your support and to the children for making this workshop so special.
