Well first of all thank you all so much for your lovely messages and support, blown away and humbled 🫂 the community of Ripon really is second to none.
As you can see I have a nice long scar, I found out today the full extent of the injury, two breaks now held together with pins and screws. On a positive side they sealed the wound with dissolvable stitches, bonus.
The surgeon was happy with the healing and has given me an air cast boot 👢 which I can take off when I'm not on my feet, so that's good, I can wash it finally 🤣 I can put light weight on the foot with my crutches but only while I'm wearing the air cast boot only and a few gentle exercises.
I have to go back in 4 weeks for an X-ray to see how the bones are healing and everything is still in its place then hopefully we can start putting more weight on and the physiotherapy starts for how long it takes.
So all in all it's positive, I just need to take it easy for the next 4 weeks and till the next appointment.
The journey continues.....
