I spy something MAGNI-ficent 👀💪

A brand new fitness studio has opened in Tunbridge Wells and it’s taking a slightly different approach.

MAGNI FITNESS - Personal Training Tunbridge Wells is built around their Magni Method - combining assessment, strength training and endurance to create a plan that’s actually personal to you.

Their whole approach is built around The Magni Method - a three-step system designed to help you become stronger, fitter and actually enjoy the process:

🗒️Assess — understand where you’re starting from with proper testing and data

💪🏼Build — personalised strength training with guidance every step of the way

😮‍💨Breathe — improving your fitness and endurance alongside your strength

Basically… less “I’ll start Monday” and more having a proper plan (although I’m still keeping Monday as an option 😂).

Whether you’re getting back into fitness, wanting to feel stronger or just need some motivation, this could be worth checking out.

Welcome to Tunbridge Wells, MAGNI FITNESS - Personal Training Tunbridge Wells — we’re SO excited to have you!

Meet Bonnie, the creative hands and heart behind Botanical Press - transforming meaningful flowers into beautiful, handmade keepsakes that preserve memories for years to come.

Bonnie is also a local mum and one of those genuinely kind souls who pours so much heart, care and creativity into everything she does. We’re so excited to shine a little light on her wonderful small business this Small Business Saturday.

🌻Tell us about your journey from the business idea to launching the business.
Before I was a mum, I was an art teacher. A year in I missed making so much I didn't recognise myself. I just needed a creative outlet. I like to make things with purpose, so when we got invited to a friend's wedding and I made her a plaster Botanical tile from her bouquet, and then Botanical Press followed.

🌻What's been your biggest achievement since starting your business?
I think one of my most humbling commissions I have ever been asked to make, was to preserve some funeral flowers. I made a vase, Coasters and candle holders. It was all made for a little boy who had lost his mum. His dad asked for these to be made so that he would have something tangible for when he began to understand the concept of her passing.

🌻 What inspired you to start the business?
My children, my want to contribute financially but still be available for my kids. It has become even more important now more than ever, that I can be available as 3 out of my 4 children are neurodiverse, one of which suffers with anxiety and stops them from being able to regularly leave the house.

🌻What does the future look like?
With the recent purchase of my very own kiln, I am starting to explore more sculptural pieces. I have recently created a menorial sculpture. And I am now in talks with a local school to create a large community art installation.

You will also find me at Pembury Girls Guides for their Christmas fair on the 14th November.

BRIGHTON
St Augustine’s Arts and Events Centre on the 21st Nov
Lewes Town Hall, on the 5th December.
Alongside other workshops.

The Tom & Jerry episode that broke my heart 🥹

I genuinely wasn’t prepared for this one…and to be fair wasn't sure whether to share it or not.

My boys love watching the old Tom & Jerry episodes and I love this....because secretly I get to enjoy them again too.

And then this particular episode came on....

I vividly remember watching this exact episode about 30 years ago with my little brother. I would have been around 10 years old, sitting there completely unaware that one day I’d be watching the same thing again… but this time with my own two boys.

30 years later, sitting in the same kind of moment, watching the exact same thing but this time with two human I made.... watching their little faces take it all in.

It’s honestly wild how life does that.

One minute you’re the child watching cartoons with your sibling… and the next you’re the parent watching your own children create those memories.

The nostalgia hit me harder than I expected. 🥹

Anyone else find old cartoons hit differently when you watch them as a parent? What are you currently watching with your kids?
