Join us every Sunday from 10am-4pm. Whether you’re after a delicious slice of cake, a refreshing cocktail on our roof terrace, or a family day out, we’ve got you covered.

The National Poo Museum will be open, our shop will be full of brilliant local gifts and treats, and our public toilets (supported by Ryde Town Council ) will also be open throughout August.

And that’s not all… we’ve got a few special surprises planned to make Sundays at Department even more memorable.

The mother of three sisters whose bodies were pulled from the sea at Brighton beach also drowned, her family have revealed.

Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31, from Uxbridge, west London, were pulled from the water on May 13, but were not named by police until earlier this week when a statement from their father, Joseph, was also released.

Their aunt, Ajike Adetoro, said the women were “the closest sisters and best friends who did everything together” and suggested they may have ventured into the water to pay tribute to their late mother who died by drowning in Birmingham in 2010.

In a statement, Joseph, said of his daughter: “No words can truly describe the pain of losing three daughters in the prime of their lives. Jane, Christina, and Becky were more than daughters to me; they were my joy, my strength, and the beautiful light that filled our family with happiness and love.

“Each of you was unique and precious in your own special way. Your smiles brightened dark days, your laughter brought comfort, and your presence made life more meaningful. Though your time on earth was short, the impact you made will remain in our hearts forever.”
