Sometimes one large pot can have more impact. This one holds 200+ bulbs in layers to flower from early to late spring. Use smaller pots to anchor it and prevent it looking isolated. These are filled with hostas here.

Every holiday we take turns into a plant identification session - so great to see Geranium maderense in its natural habitat. It grows along the levadas, water courses, in deep damp valleys in Madeira. I grew it once at home, marvelling at how it formed a huge clump, flowered massively and fired all its seeds off in different directions before collapsing into a heap, leaving me with seedlings coming up everywhere!
