This weekend was one for the books- the busiest we’ve ever had!

Alongside Salad Days, we also run STING Performing Arts, where we teach, rehearse, and perform with local children all year round. This weekend, we staged not one, but two full theatre shows South Mill Arts of
With over 250 children performing.

The first show featured 100children, followed by a lightning/ fast 30 minute turnaround to get the next 150 kids of stage for the second performance. It was hectic, emotional and completely magic.

We know first hand what it’s like to work with kids, how to organise a big moment, and how to keep the energy high (even with only snacks and coffee to keep us going)

We’re so proud of our students - they were all amazing. And to top it off, every single child took home a copy of Salad Days summer edition.

So if you’ve ever wondered how we mange to keep up with all the local events and family focused content in our magazine - it’s because WE LIVE IT, We’re in the wings, in the classrooms, in the community- and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Salad Days’ Story

Magazine for parents and carers of children who are in the age range 0-18 years. The name comes from Shakespeare and means the best days of youth - so it’s nothing to do with lettuce and tomatoes! It all started when I couldn’t find the local Brownie group - there was nowhere I could find that sort of information out from, except by word of mouth. So Salad Days - because they’re only young once - was conceived!
