Last Tuesday was a busy one, starting with the Communities Together EA Saxmundham Chinwag, where the East Suffolk Communities Team, Connect, provided some slow cooking demonstrations. Then popped across to Framlingham for the Be Well Bus for Swish to help promote the Roadshow which was this week. Great to see so much support for the community in the area.

I totally forgot to post about how our team raised money for earlier this year. As well as very generous donations for our raffle prizes we also had a bake sale and wear it bright. Together with this and money donated by we were able to present the cheque at the AGM at the end of July. Hannah and I saw first hand what an impact art has on mental health. Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Steve at the socialbar in Saxmundham. Recently opened, it’s not only a great space to grab good coffee or a craft beer, but the bar is also aimed at supporting those in isolation with fantastic activities and events, and with the owners passion for mental health, there is a real feel of support and community when you visit. Look forward to popping in again soon.

Last week Hannah and I were kindly invited to attend the Inside Out Community AGM in Ipswich, to present a cheque and say a few words for the money raised by the Christies Care Ltd team. We also received a fantastic donation of £80 from The Poachers Pocket, Saxmundham to add to the total which we mentioned too. Inside Out Community is a fantastic charity offering such brilliant support and engaging activities.
