We recently held the event, Halesworth Volunteer Day for 3 charities that we passionately support and that do so much for the community in the Halesworth and surrounding areas, The Pear Tree Fund Halesworth Volunteers & Halesworth dementia Carers' Fund. We also had Suffolk Artlink providing a lovely project for everyone. It was a fantastic day with all three charities having volunteer enquiries and I was so pleased so many people came. A couple of weeks ago Siobhan kindly invited me to Creating Space at the community centre in Stowmarket. A lovely group creating different art activities and experiences for those in the community. Thank you to Suffolk Artlink for allowing me to come along. Was lovely to see those attending, enjoying a socialable and fun afternoon. Over recent months I have seen what great benefit art is for mental health and what positives can come from it.

It was great to be at the launch of the new Carlton Colville Men’s Shed, which is supported once a month by Annette Rcc Dunning and the Rural Coffee Caravan. It was a fantastic turn out of chaps to find out more about how the group will work and what can be achieved.
Thanks to councillor Chris Thomas for allowing me to say a few words to everyone too. Look forward to returning later this month.

The penultimate East Suffolk Dementia Roadshow saw us arrive in Grundisburgh. A fabulous morning that went really well, a lovely turn out with great services providing support for those with memory concerns. Great weather, great people and great support. Thanks to all those involved for making it a success.

I was recently at the Riverside Centre at Stratford St Andrew for the Saxmundham and North East Connect meeting, hosted by Stuart Halsey which included some great information on the compassionate companions services and discussions around end of life. Great to connect with local people before and after too.

A couple of weeks ago we hosted a Lowestoft Information Day at the Olive Centre, with Fosters and Access Community Trust. It was great to bring so many amazing services together in one place. Thanks to all those that supported the day and so glad we could do something for the Waveney area.

A couple of weeks ago it was the Suffolk Care Awards with
A great night celebrating all the amazing Care across Suffolk. were up for an award and came runners up on a night when it was great just to be part of it all. Was also nice to see after many years passed since Anglia TV days.
