At this Christmas we organised a coffee, hot chocolate and cake morning to raise money for for their community larder along with donations of food for this Christmas. We managed to fill four large sacks with food donations as well as raising almost £150 to help those this Christmas. Well done to all team and Hannah S for her hard work making it happen. Well done team.

Yesterday was Christmas Community appearance on the Community Hour with Mark Jepson. .engagement joined me for her first appearance and she was great of course.
We were able to share some exciting community projects we’ve been involved with and talk all things Christies and Christmas! Thanks for having us!

It was lovely to welcome our clients from the Saxmundham and surrounding areas for a Christmas get together. We were joined throughout the morning by clients, families, carers and Christies Care Ltd team. We had Christmas activities, mulled wine and warm mince pies as well as some festive music and decorations too.

It was a pleasure and an honour to host the Christmas Party and Awards Evening last Friday, but the main thing was that all the team could have a great time celebrating their hard work. Well done to Demi for all the organising and for the directors to allow such an enjoyable evening. was the perfect venue.

Was lovely to visit Thornham Walks last week, such a beautiful setting with lots of walks. Some of our Christies Care Ltd team mentioned this as a great place for our clients to visit and potentially some form of wellbeing walk. Roughly between Stowmarket and Diss, you get to also see some amazing wildlife.

It was really interesting to attend High Lodge last week for the East Suffolk Marmot Place Launch Event. Great to know that East Suffolk will be using initiatives to be even fairer and healthier as a community. It was a pleasure to listen to Professor Sir Michael Marmot who gave such an engaging speech with intelligence, seriousness and humour all in one delivery. Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure to be shown around the two sites of Involve Active in Waveney. A fantastic non for profit organisation that offers a community engagement project, where families can access services and activities to support the needs of their children, young people and adults. It was lovely and inspiring to meet Bev & Jennie and seeing first hand what is happening there, I also met some very happy young adults enjoying their day. The opportunities for those with support needs is unique and there’s even opportunities to camp out and stay. I highly recommend getting in touch if you know of anyone that would benefit.

Yesterday was the third and final Mid Suffolk Dementia Roadshow, this time in Stowmarket. A really busy morning with lots of visitors learning more about the services available in the community, some really good conversations had. Well done to Gareth Moir Kimberly Roberts and all those involved in making it a successful day. Also with it being rememberance day, it was special to pay respects at 11am. Great event for Rendlesham today, our Juliette will be there Christies Care Ltd

The Rural Coffee Caravan will be hosting a 'Ways to Wellness' Event today at the Rendlesham Community Centre from 2pm - 4pm and we will be joined by representatives from a wide range of services dedicated to your health & wellbeing.

You can chat with East Suffolk Council on everyday issues, Essex and Suffolk Water with any water issues you may have or with the Community Police regarding any safety concerns in the local area.

As well as the opportunity to speak with Wellbeing Suffolk, Debenham Health Group, Shaw Trust, Feel Good Suffolk, SCC Adult Community Services, Debenham PCN. The BE WELL BUS will also be with us and you can get a free mini health check and more.
