Out of office is now on, and I use that term loosely because I'll absolutely still be working, just in a different postcode.

I'll be at Ideasfest for most of the week soaking up all the creative goodness, and then heading straight into prep mode for Scarborough Pride on the 12th where I'll be there with Druppel & co. So technically out of office, technically still very much on it. If you've been meaning to get in touch about a project, drop me a message and I'll be back at my desk properly on Monday 14th. 💜

This is what brand development looks like in practice. There was already a great foundation, but they needed more to work with, so I expanded the logo suite with some variations, created a standalone heart mark with the HS monogram, added custom flower illustrations for their labels and brought in a considered font range to use across the brand.

Development is honestly one of my favourite briefs because the bones are already there; you're just giving the brand more to say and more ways to say it. 💜

Near black and muted teal do the heavy lifting, dusty rose softens it, mustard surprises you and cool white ties it all together.

Oops! Seems I’ve gone quiet for a few days, life is busy as a one women studio and I seem to have forgotten to schedule my posts 🤦🏻‍♀️ Incredibly grateful for all the work lately and Rocky and Skye are both getting plenty of treats out of it, so no complaints from them 💜

So the news is out.......and so is the official poster 🙌

Thanks to the fantastically talented Anja at Notch Media who took our ideas and turned them into this!!!

I met Anja last year at an event and I havent stopped working with her since. I don't think of myself as creative, I'm more a make it happen in the background type of girl 🙈 That's why I need friends like Anja and Karon, creativity bursting out of the pages 💯

I love products and merch, so when a client comes to me for pins, T-shirts, prints, stickers, you name it, I am absolutely all in!

There is so much fun to be had with a brand in the print space, and having created products for my art business since 2018, I genuinely have such a love for it. Want posters for your coffee shop? Go for it. You'll probably be able to make some to sell too. Have a holiday let and need tea towels? Why not make some custom ones. Guarantee someone will want to buy some from you too!

I'm an illustrator at heart, and my absolute joy is seeing products come to life, especially when they sit in the sweet spot between brand and something people genuinely want to own. It's just so much fun, and I never get tired of it. 🫶

You don't really clock how many brands you've built until you start to print them all out and lay them on your desk.

40 businesses and 6 more currently in progress. Feeling very grateful to be trusted with people's brands. 💜

This was such a satisfying project. The original wholesale catalogue had three products per page, which meant it was running to around 61 pages, so after working on the website design, I redesigned the whole thing to fit six to nine products per page instead, bringing it down to a much more practical size without losing any of the warmth or detail.

We also used the updated brand colours throughout and made sure the business's sustainability and the fact that everything is Brio-drawn were highlighted properly because those details matter. They absolutely should be front and centre when a stockist is flicking through.

Holding the finished printed version is always the best bit. 💜

You get a lot of the designer on here, so here's the rest of me. Too much Lego, half the Vampire Diaries cast met (I wish it were half), a camera back in my hands and romantasy books I can't put down. A proper get to know me is up on the blog now. 🫶
