Out Running 🫶

Sophie came in with a clear vision, and I helped turn it into a brand that just… works.

We actually finished this back in April (yes, it’s taken me forever to post 😂), and it’s been so good seeing her run with it. Creating a visual identity for both the adults and kids range was so fun to do. The adults’ range uses a tight 6-colour palette and the kids’ range bumps it to 7 but it still ties in, just feels even brighter and more playful.

We also planned ahead so any new fruit characters can slot right in without messing up the vibe. If you’re a runner and want to see what Sophie is up to apparel design wise, or fancy joining her running events, go give a follow!

Lahari 🌊✨

Lahari is a yoga business, and with its name meaning “wave” in Sanskrit, bringing in flowing, wave-inspired details felt like a natural fit. We wanted the brand to feel earthy, calm, and grounded, while still carrying that sense of movement and flow.

Although this particular direction ended up being an unused concept, we loved it so much that a few of the details and assets have been adapted into the final brands name change, and they add such a beautiful touch. 🌿

Sometimes the ideas that don’t make it to the finish line still find their way in, and this was definitely one of those moments.

Branding Anniversary!!🎉

Two years ago today, I created the branding for my own art account, not knowing it would be the start of my journey designing brands for other people.

The vision was always to keep it playful and true to the feel of illustration, rough-edged hand-drawn typography balanced with a rounded, more approachable typeface. The colour palette stayed minimal in soft blues and pinks, with accents of green and golden orange, so the products themselves could take centre stage without being overpowered by the branding.

Looking back, this project feels like the foundation of everything that’s followed. It set the tone for how I approach branding now, creating systems that support the work, highlight the personality behind it, and leave room for the brand to grow.

So excited!!! 😍

We’re joining forces with Notch Media and moving into an office space together at the new business centre on Coldyhill Lane ✨

We can’t wait to get in there and be a part of its buzz, filled with creatives of all kinds — designers, makers, children’s play areas and a whole host of other fantastic small businesses.

Our door will be open to anyone needing face to face chats about our services very soon. We are so excited for the space to look to expand our services. This is a great opportunity for some breathing space which allows us to work harder on the business, meaning we can improve our services and brand. Please note: this is not another laundry site ☺️

Can you believe it?!

In September, Notch will be 2 years old! Even though I’ve only been fully self-employed since May last year, the ideas and beginnings of Notch started way back in September 2023.

So what better way to celebrate than by getting the keys to my very own office 🥹✨ I’m honestly so excited. This feels like such a big step and I can’t wait to be on a floor with so many amazing, creative people. Hopefully I’ll be even more creative if that’s possible aha

I’m planning to film a bit of the process and maybe even bring my YouTube channel back? We’ll see 👀

✨ Some exciting news! ✨

I’m so happy to share that I’ve been chosen as one of this week’s winners of Theo Paphitis’ Small Business Sunday awards!

As a huge Dragons’ Den fan, it means so much to be recognised by Theo himself, especially as a fairly new business owner (can I still say that two years in nearly? Aha)

I’m beyond excited to meet him in person and connect with many other inspiring small business owners! And even more exciting is that I join my fellow creative and past SBS winner, , whose branding I was so honoured to design this year!

Thank you so much for all the support so far. I can’t wait to see where this little business goes next.
