From sketch to site, here's how I designed the website for the incredibly talented

Lucy needed a site that felt as warm and creative as the work she produces. The only rule was it couldn't just be photos of my face everywhere 😂 (I was tempted aha)

So we added hand-drawn icons illustrated just for her, built out the design in Canva, and brought the whole thing to life as a fully functioning website on Squarespace.

The illustrated details are my favourite part. Because when every element is rooted in the personality of the business, the right audience doesn't just land on the site. They feel at home there.

Before I was a brand designer, I was an illustrator. And before that, a watercolour painter.

And that probably sounds like a fun fact (it is), but it genuinely shapes everything about how I work.

Illustration taught me that every mark matters. That personality lives in the details. The difference between something good and something brilliant is usually the bit nobody else notices.

You can see it in my own brand. The patterns, the shapes and my illustrated character!

Illustration within a business can be done in so many ways! I have a blog on this on my website (give it a read!)
