Ahhhh the perimenopause paradox 🤣

Everyone tells you…

“Just get back to what you were doing before!”

Okay… WOULD LOVE TO.

Tiny issue…

What I was doing before doesn’t seem to work the same way anymore 😭

So here’s what you actually do 👇

Stop trying to get your old routine back. Start adapting it to the woman you are now.

Ask yourself:

What feels harder than it used to?
What do I actually need now?
What could I change without turning my whole life upside down?

And yeah… am I telling you to do things differently instead of going back to what used to work?

Yep 😭

Because here’s something nobody wants to hear…

What worked for you before doesn’t automatically have to be what works for you now.

Your old routine proves you can create change.

It doesn’t prove it’s still the right routine for your current body, energy or life.
So start paying attention.

And pls do NOT decide:

“Right, I need to completely overhaul my diet, exercise every day, fix my sleep and sort my entire life out.” 😭

Start smaller.

If your routine feels exhausting, it needs to be supportive before it needs to be perfect.

Maybe that means eating properly before you’re starving.

Moving in a way you actually enjoy.

Creating a bedtime routine you can stick to.

Or noticing when your energy is better and working with that.

Then notice EVERYTHING.

Something feels easier?

Pay attention to what changed.

Something leaves you feeling better?

Do more of THAT.

Something constantly drains you?

STOP assuming you just need more discipline. 😭

Because now you have information about what actually works for YOU.
From real life.

Not another generic list of things you should be doing.

That’s how you get out of the chicken + egg loop.

You don’t wait until you feel better to make changes.

You make one supportive change.

That creates awareness.

That awareness helps you make the next change.

And those changes start building confidence, energy and consistency.

Eventually, you’re not trying to get your old self back.

You’re building a way of living that supports the woman you are now. 🤣💙

If you’ve worked bloody hard on your health and fitness and now feel like perimenopause has changed the rules, follow me.

I’ll help you adapt without feeling like you have to start all over again. 😛🔥

Do you want to know what I did to get a half marathon PB in those final few seconds?

Literally nothing 🤣

I crossed the finish line.

Bc the work that created that moment had already been done.

Fr fr THIS is the bit about getting results in perimenopause that I think a lot of women misunderstand.

They see the finish line and think the magic must be in that final moment.

It isn’t.

I didn’t turn up on race day thinking, “Right, let’s see what happens” and hope my body pulled it out the bag 😭

The work had been happening long before I got there.

Training consistently.
Getting my runs in.
Cross-training.
Strength training.
Parkrun.
Working on my running-specific practices.
Learning how to support my body differently through perimenopause.

So by race day, I wasn’t still trying to figure everything out.

The preparation had been done.
I’d built the fitness.
I’d put the work in.
I was ready to run. 😭🔥

The finish-line result was evidence of the work that happened long before the finish line.

Bc when you’ve built the fitness, practised the skills, supported your body and put the groundwork in place…

You don’t need to desperately create the result in the final few seconds.

You get to trust the work you’ve already done. 😛

So yeah…

What did I do to get that half marathon PB in those final few seconds?

Nothing.

I’d already done the RIGHT things in all the weeks, runs and training sessions that came before it.

And honestly, I think perimenopause can be a bit like that too.

You don’t necessarily need one HUGE change.

You need to start putting the right foundations in place.

Small changes.
Consistent support.
Learning what works for YOU.

So when you finally reach that moment where you think…

“THERE I AM.” 💙

…it might look like it happened suddenly.

But it didn’t.

The result was delayed evidence of everything that came before it.

If you’re ready to stop trying to overhaul everything and start making small changes that actually support the woman you are now…

Slide into my DMs with SMALL STEPS and let’s chat about my case study opportunity for ONE woman 😛🔥

I’m not here to help women “survive” perimenopause. 💙

And I’m definitely not here to tell you to eat less, exercise more and just accept feeling exhausted, uncomfortable and unlike yourself as “part of getting older.”

Because I’ve been that woman.

I know what it’s like to work hard on yourself.
To lose weight.
Get fitter.
Rebuild your confidence.
Discover running.
Finally feel like you’ve found yourself again…

And then perimenopause comes along and suddenly your body feels different.

Your energy changes. Your sleep changes. Your weight can change. Your mood can change.

And you start wondering…

“What the hell is happening to me?”

For me, the answer wasn’t going backwards.

It was learning how to support the woman I was becoming.

Looking at the bigger picture — nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, mindset, routines and REAL LIFE.

And making small changes I could actually live with.

Because I don’t believe you need another restrictive plan or another list of things to “fix.”

I believe you need to understand what’s happening and figure out what actually works for YOU.

That’s why I became a perimenopause coach.

Not because I’ve got everything sussed.

But because I’ve lived the feeling of “I don’t feel like myself anymore.”

And I’ve experienced what can happen when you stop trying to become your old self and start supporting the woman you are now. 💙

I’ve lost weight.
I’ve rebuilt my confidence.
I started running.
I completed the Great North Run.
I achieved a half marathon PB.

And at that finish line, I had one of those moments:

“THERE I AM.” 🥹

That’s the woman I want to help.

The woman thinking:

“I know I’m still in here. I just need some help finding my way back to me.”

If that’s you… you’re exactly where you need to be. 💙

A little while ago, I crossed the finish line of the Great North Run with a half marathon PB… and honestly, I’m still a bit 🤯 about it.

Not just because I’d done it.

But because I stopped and thought…

“Bloody hell… this is me now.” 💙

Running further and faster than I ever thought I could.
Recovering easier.
Finishing with very little fatigue.

And doing it during a time in my life when I’d once wondered if perimenopause had completely changed what my body was capable of.

Because I remember wondering if the version of me who felt strong, confident and capable had disappeared somewhere along the way.

I doubted myself.
I questioned my body.
I wondered if this was just how things were now.

Which is why that finish line meant SO much more than a medal or a time.

It was one of those “THERE I AM!” moments. 🥹💙

And yes… there’s always another run.
Another goal.
Another thing I could improve.

But I didn’t want my first thought to be:

“Right, what’s next?”

I wanted to stop and actually appreciate how far I’d come. 😛

Because we’re SO quick to move past our own achievements.

We get the result and immediately start looking for the next thing to fix.

And don’t get me wrong… goals are great 🤣

But I want to use this moment as a reminder for the woman who is currently where I once was.

If you’re in the “I don’t feel like myself” season…

The “my body has changed and I don’t know what to do with it” season…

Or the “maybe this is just how things are now” season…

Please don’t assume this moment tells you how your story ends.

Because sometimes what feels like losing yourself is actually the beginning of becoming someone new. 💙

I could just share the shiny finish-line photo and say “look what I achieved.”

But the part that matters most to me is everything that came before it.

The uncertainty.
The doubts.
The small steps.
The decision to keep going.

Because maybe that’s the bit another woman needs to hear.

Maybe you’re not as stuck as you think you are. 💙

So tell me…

When someone shares an achievement, do you actually want to hear about the BTS journey that came before it? 👇

29/09/2026

Can we all just collectively agree to stop acting like making small changes in perimenopause means you’re signing up for a whole new life 🤣

I’ve seen SO many women avoid making changes because they don’t want to start another plan they can’t keep up with.

Babe…

You don’t need to change your entire diet.

You don’t need to suddenly exercise 7 days a week.

You’re not waking up tomorrow to a completely different life 😭

You’re literally just choosing one thing that could support you better.

That’s it.

And honestly, this is where I think we make things way harder than they need to be.

Maybe your sleep is rubbish.

Maybe you’re running on coffee until lunchtime.

Maybe you’ve stopped moving because you’re exhausted.

Maybe your routines worked perfectly a few years ago… but don’t fit the woman you are now.

That doesn’t mean you need to throw everything out and start again.

It means something might need adjusting.

One small change isn’t failure…

…it’s a starting point.

So, we’re gonna make the change.

But we’re gonna do it properly 👇

Avoid choosing five things at once and expecting yourself to suddenly become a different person.

Instead, ask:

“What is ONE thing that would support me most right now?”

Then make it ridiculously realistic.

For example:

“This week, I’m going to eat a proper breakfast before I get caught up in the day, rather than relying on coffee until lunchtime.”

That’s it.

You’re not failing, starting another diet or trying to fix your whole life.

You’re paying attention.

You’re making a choice.

You’re learning what works for YOU. 💙

I think so many women stay stuck simply because they believe the answer has to be BIG.

It doesn’t.

Start small. Start where you are. And build from there. 😭🤍

If you’re a midlife woman wanting to feel more like yourself again, follow me 😏 I’ll help you make perimenopause feel a whole lot less overwhelming.

27/09/2026

Meanwhile, I’m more scared of accepting that feeling unlike yourself is just “normal” in perimenopause. 💙

Bc apparently we’re supposed to find it comforting when we hear…

“Feeling exhausted is just part of getting older.”

“Your body is changing. You just have to accept it.”

“It’s normal. You just have to get on with it.”

Ok? So?

Feeling exhausted is common.
Poor sleep is common.
Feeling uncomfortable in your body is common.
Losing confidence and wondering where the hell YOU went is common.

That’s normal too.

But I don’t want that either.

The fact something is common has never made it something I want to settle for.

If anything, it makes me ask:

“But does it have to stay this way?” 👀

Bc I don’t want to just survive perimenopause.

I want to feel stronger.
I want more energy.
I want to understand my body instead of fighting it.
I want routines that fit around REAL LIFE.
I want to move because it feels good, not because I’m punishing myself.

And more than anything…

I want to feel like ME again. 💙

And if someone thinks that’s asking for too much…

Honestly?

I don’t give a damn. 😭

Because I know there are women feeling exactly the same.

Women who are done with extreme diets, punishing workouts and constantly feeling like they need to fix themselves.

Women who want to understand what’s happening, make small changes and feel more in control again.

And if you’re reading this thinking…

“YESSSSS THANK YOU.”

Yep.

You’re my kind of woman. 😛

That’s exactly who my 12 Week Perimenopause First Steps™ Programme is for.

What if the woman you’re trying so hard to get back to… isn’t actually the woman you’re meant to become? 💙

For a long time, I thought transformation meant changing how I looked.

And losing weight changed a LOT for me.

But my journey started much deeper than that.

I had spent years carrying deep-rooted childhood and adulthood trauma — things that shaped how I saw myself and showed up in the world.

I knew I wanted something different.

So I started working on myself.

I changed my relationship with food.
I lost weight.
I started moving my body.
I discovered running.
I rebuilt my confidence.

And slowly, I started becoming someone I recognised again.

Then something unexpected happened…

Perimenopause.

Suddenly, my body was changing again.

My energy changed.
My symptoms changed.
The way I felt in myself changed.

And I found myself asking:

“What the hell is happening to me?”

At first, I thought I needed to get back to the woman I had been.

But I realised…

I didn’t need to go backwards.

I needed to understand who I was now.

That meant listening to my body instead of fighting it.

Making small changes instead of trying to fix everything overnight.

Looking at the bigger picture — nutrition, movement, sleep, mindset, routines and lifestyle.

And eventually, that journey led me somewhere I never expected…

A complete career change into coaching. 💙

Because everything I’d learned made me realise how many women are walking around feeling like something is wrong with them.

Feeling stuck.
Disconnected.
Wondering if this is just how life is now.

And I know what it feels like to rebuild yourself.

Not because I have everything figured out.

But because I’ve had to find my way through some pretty difficult seasons too.

So if you’re there right now, please hear me:

You don’t have to become your old self again.

You don’t have to fix everything at once.

Start with one small step.

Because sometimes the biggest transformation isn’t becoming who you used to be.

It’s becoming the woman you are now. 💙

💙 HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US TOMORROW FOR THRIVE LIVE! 💙

☕ Thursday | 10am

This week, chosen topic we're talking about:

Perimenopause & Relationships ❤️

Perimenopause can affect more than just our bodies. It can change how we feel, how we communicate, how much socialising we can manage and how much space we need.

Tomorrow we'll have a real conversation about:

✨ Feeling misunderstood or withdrawn
✨ Why we might need more space
✨ What support can actually look like
✨ Communicating what we need
✨ Setting boundaries without guilt
✨ And perhaps most importantly… our relationship with ourselves

I'll also be sharing a little of my own experience and what I've learnt along the way.

So grab your cuppa, come as you are and let's have a chat. 💙

Thursday at 10am inside Thrive - The Perimenopause Sisterhood...... Be seen Be Supported Be You

Hope you can join us! 💙

“I just want to feel like me again.” 💙

If you’ve thought this during perimenopause, I want you to know…

I’ve thought it too.

For a long time, I felt like I was losing the version of me I’d worked so hard to reclaim.

I’d lost weight.
I’d started running.
I’d rebuilt my confidence.

Then perimenopause came along and suddenly my body felt different, my energy felt different and I didn’t quite feel like me anymore.

I remember wondering…

“Is this just who I am now?”
“Do I just have to accept feeling like this?”
“Where has the old me gone?”

But over the last couple of years, I’ve realised something.

Maybe she hasn’t gone.

Maybe she’s evolving. 💙

I stopped trying to fight my body and started paying attention to what it was telling me.

I became more symptom-aware.

I started making small changes.

Not trying to overhaul my entire life.
Not chasing perfection.

Just figuring out what worked for me, my body and the life I have now.

And then came the Great North Run. 🏅

Crossing that finish line with a half marathon PB, easier recovery and very little fatigue gave me a moment I’ll never forget.

That little…

“THERE I AM!” 😊

Knowing I was running faster times than I was pre-perimenopause made it even more special.

Because it wasn’t really about the run.

It was proof that I hadn’t lost myself.

I’d just had to learn how to support this version of me differently.

Maybe the goal isn’t to get your old self back.

Maybe it’s to discover who you are now.

The evolved version.

The one who understands her body, knows what she needs and starts working with herself.

My moment came when I crossed that finish line. 💙

Where would you like to be when you have your own “I feel like me again” moment? 👇

And if you’re thinking “I want that moment, but I don’t know where to start”…

I’m looking for ONE woman to join me as a case study for my 12 Week Perimenopause First Steps™ Programme.

RESET → REBUILD → THRIVE, with weekly 1:1 coaching, personalised support, practical tools, worksheets and accountability.

Small steps. Realistic changes. Support that fits around your REAL life. 💙

DM me “CASE STUDY” and let’s chat. 😘
