Door thresholds can be SUCH a pain, so this new height-adjustable step from The Ramp People has made getting in and out of our front door so much easier 👏

The eventual dream is a completely flat-access home, but we’re not quite there yet, so little adaptations like this make such a difference!

Over 13 years online, I’ve had hundreds of people steal my photos, but stealing photos of my nephew? That’s a whole new level of disgusting😩😩

Someone recently made a fake Facebook profile using photos of me, my friends, colleagues and even photos with my nephew!!

Thankfully someone kindly messaged me, I reported it and it’s been taken down already 👏

Although I follow lots of families who do share children’s faces online, I won’t be sharing my nephew’s, and this is an example why!

Birthday afternoon tea for my mum at Wentworth Woodhouse 🥰❤️

Accessibility here is so great and the staff really cannot do enough!

We only took one wheelchair for my mum as we didn’t know the lift was still there (installed for the flower show last year) and the plan was for Alfie to carry it up (it’s a lightweight 37lb chair, I need to show you all!)

We also didn’t know that there’s a a ramp into The Long Gallery, the prettiest room ever!

We love it here, we go all the time and would really recommend Wentworth Woodhouse! 🥰❤️

We had a lovely stay in their ground-floor room, really spacious, a HUGE bed and the wet room is so fancy!

Access-wise, I’d say it’s better suited to someone who needs a ground-floor room or uses a smaller mobility aid

And the food?! Absolutely amazing. Some of the best I’ve had in a while!

Adpr - Ambulatory wheelchair user fashion ❤️

I absolutely love taking pretty photos with my wheelchair.

And actually, I think it’s important that people see them!

Over the years, I’ve had plenty of comments implying I must be faking being Disabled because I’ve done my hair, put makeup on, dressed nicely or looked happy in a photo 😂

As if disability has a dress code 🤷‍♀️

My wheelchair doesn’t stop me loving fashion. Being chronically ill doesn’t mean I have to look ill all the time. And putting effort into how I look doesn’t make my disability any less real! 👏

So yes, I’m going to keep taking the pretty dress photos, both in and out of my chair. ❤️

Because Disabled people deserve to be seen living full, stylish, joyful lives too 👏

ad - Accessible bathroom with Nuie Bathrooms ♿️✨

Accessible bathroom design definitely isn’t one-size-fits-all.

As an ambulatory wheelchair user with fluctuating mobility, I have to think about what works for me on good days, bad days and in the future.

I’ve been using the Nuie design tool to plan a bathroom that works for my accessibility needs without compromising on how I actually want it to look.

And yes, all versions of me still want a bath! 😂
