Here it is the final video from Panama. We set off chasing big fish, armed with poppers, live baits, and no real idea what we’d run into out there. As soon as we hit the offshore marks we were surrounded by dolphins, and not just dolphins... Then it happened my popper gets absolutely smashed by a huge yellowfin tuna and the rest is history.

Give this one a watch people, its the final episode of this two part series.

Snuck out just off the coast of Shoreham last night, fishing in about 12ft of water over an inshore reef.

Brighton and Worthing were getting slammed with rain but somehow we got lucky, we managed to stay just out the way of it.

Tried live prawns on light gear and it was instant action. You never know what’ll turn up when the sea’s stirred up like that. The light was fading, the darkness was approaching and that’s when the first bite happened.

One of those rare sessions where timing and a bit of local knowledge paid off big time. As a bonus I found an amazing little pinnacle where tons of fish were holding up and it’s so close to the port it’s ridiculous!

Change Your Lure Seriously ❗️⚠️

It never stops amazing me how often switching lures will interest a fish, even when the conditions seem perfect and you’re doing everything right

Had it happen again recently, same spot, same retrieve same cast angle nothing. One quick lure swap later and bang in comes a proper bass. It’s like they were always there just not up for what I was offering!

Whether it’s the colour action size or just a different profile in the water sometimes it only takes one change to turn things around

In this short video I sack off everything including work because I get a tip off from someone that there’s bass offshore at a certain mark. This is my opportunity to catch the first bass of the season.

I tried numerous attempts at this but the bass were being very finicky at this time of year and this was my chance to do it. I headed straight for the next lock and punched straight out to the mark and in this video I show you exactly what went on.

This video shows you that using big soft plastics in deep water really grabs the attention of the large bass.

This is why I LOVE fishing alone at sea. No noise. No distractions. Just a flat calm day, light tackle, and a couple of cracking fish to keep me company. 🎣

I headed out on my own from Shoreham on my little boat in the hope of a few bream, bass and mackerel with a simple setup that always gets bites in the summer! I’ve also shared some of my go-to tips for small boat fishing too.
