Skegness Goldwing Riders

Two years ago Elaine and I decided to move from sport bikes and purchase a Honda Goldwing GL1800ABS and Squire D18 trailer and travel to as many rallies and bike events as time allows us. We purchased a small tent and camping gear and attended a couple of rallies in 2017. Having decided we were too old to crawl around inside a small 2 person dome tent we invested in a full height 4 berth tent and enjoyed our camping a lot more in 2018.

Unfortunately our GL1800ABS developed a coolant leak and the left hand fork seal began leaking oil so we have said goodbye to our beloved first wing and purchased a 2018 GL1800 Tour” DCT. Look out for our blog updates as we get to know our new ride and look forward to riding many more miles on our Goldwing.

I am a full members of the Goldwing Owners Club Of Great Britain in the Lincs Wings region.

We are planning our adventures for 2020 and looking forward to the better weather arriving.

I'm Elaine, one half of the Skegness Goldwing Riders team. Welcome to my page.

I have been riding motorbikes for about 25 years and have spent many hours touring the U.K. and have attended the Isle of Man TT races and the Manx Grand Prix.

I have toured Europe extensively, taking in the sights from the back of a Harley.

Dave tends to be the sensible one of the team, where I tend to be the crazy one. At rallies I'll be the one wearing bright yellow "flowery" Doc Martin boots and you're most likely to find me dancing to the rock bands with a pint of Guiness in my hand. I have of course fitted a set of bright pink flashing lights to our tent so I can find it in the dark.
