A little milestone… but one I’m genuinely proud of. 📈

We just had an email to say that 100 people clicked through to Solihull Spotlight from Google Search in the last 28 days.

3 months ago there was no website. No newsletter. No community.

Today…

• 3,000+ newsletter subscribers
• Thousands of monthly readers
• Local businesses trusting us to promote them
• And now people are discovering us organically through Google.

Is 100 clicks a huge number? Not yet.

But every one of those clicks is a real person looking for something happening in Solihull. That’s exactly why we started Solihull Spotlight.

I’m going to start sharing more of the journey: the wins, the mistakes, the numbers, the ideas that work (and the ones that don’t).

My goal is simple:

To build the go-to place for everything happening in Solihull, whilst helping independent businesses thrive.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of it so far. We’re still right at the beginning.

⚽️ The fixtures are in, Moors fans!

Solihull Moors will kick off the 2026/27 Enterprise National League season away at Harrogate Town on Saturday 8 August, before welcoming Boston United to the ARMCO Arena for the first home game on Saturday 15 August.

There are plenty of big dates to circle, including Southend United at home in August, Tamworth on Boxing Day and a final home fixture against Hornchurch in April.

A first for me yesterday… my first ever Reformer Pilates class ✨

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t totally sure what to expect and ended up LOVING it!

Emma from , was super welcoming and made me feel at ease! It was calming and a great way to move properly, slow things down and feel muscles I definitely don’t use enough!

📍 Empower Wellness Studio in Dickens Heath is such a lovely local space and whether you’re brand new to Pilates or already a regular, it’s a really friendly place to give it a go!

And we have exciting news 👀

Tucked away at The Tea Rooms at Manor House, the Secret Garden is one of those peaceful spots that’s feels made for a slow coffee, a slice of cake and a proper catch up.

Whether you’re escaping the town centre for half a your or looking for somewhere pretty to sit in the sunshine this is one to add to your Solihull List.

Good Morning Solihull 🌅 👋

A new week begins, July is almost upon us, and there is so much happening across the borough!

This was taken on my sunrise walk this morning - a little reminder that alongside all the events, coffee spots, restaurants and things to do, we’re lucky to have some beautiful countryside right on our doorstep!

🎶 Solihull is singing this weekend! 🎶

Don’t miss the amazing choir festival taking over Theatre Square (by The Core Theatre) this weekend. It’s a fully inclusive, community driven event all about the joy of music!

Whether you want to sing along, dance along or soak up the atmosphere, come down and support local choirs! It’s a great way to boost your mood and feel that community spirit!
