Southampton Hospital Radio

Southampton Hospital Radio Round-the-clock music, national news and the legendary ‘Requestline’, powered by volunteers—brightening every day for University Hospital Southampton!

Get a record played on air for someone in hospital. Each night we broadcast 'Requestline,' the show where the audience can get what they want played. Your request could be:
- a single record to be played on the programme. Give us the artist and title and we'll do our best to play it. You may suggest an alternative in case we can't find it
- a song from your favourite artist(s)/genre(s) to be played each day you are in hospital.
- a message to be read out on air. Please remember to give us the name and ward of the patient the request is for. However, this is optional. If you would prefer your request at a specific time, please let us know.

15 MINUTES TO AIRTIME! 🟡🔵🎙️

The view from the gantry is spectacular and the atmosphere is building fast! Here’s the team - Matt Coe, Nick Tubb, and Luke Nuckley - ready to bring you all the action from Wembley.

The notes are laid out, the headsets are on, and we are just moments away from bringing the FA Cup Semi-Final straight to your bedside.

📻 How to listen:

We’ll be live at 4:15 PM for the full build-up, followed by kick-off at 5:15 PM.

⚠️ REMINDER: Our commentary is EXCLUSIVELY for patients on the hospital wards. You won't find us on the app or the web stream today, so make sure your bedside unit is tuned in!

The Saints are in yellow, the sun is out, and we’re ready for a massive afternoon. Come on you Yellows! 😇⚽

🟡🔵WEMBLEY BOUND! 🟡🔵

Our notes are prepped, the coffee is poured, and the nerves are definitely kicking in!

We are live from Wembley Stadium this afternoon for Southampton’s massive FA Cup Semi-Final clash against Manchester City. It’s a huge day for the club as we look to channel the spirit of '76 and book a place in the final.

Join Luke Nuckley, Nick Tubb, and Matt Coe, as we bring you every kick, tackle, and (hopefully!) goal from the national stadium.

🕒 When to listen:

4:15 PM: Pre-match buildup and team news.

5:15 PM: Kick-off.

⚠️ Today’s commentary is EXCLUSIVELY for patients within the hospital. Due to broadcasting rights, our Wembley coverage will not be available on our usual internet feed or app.

If you’re on the wards, tune in and be our 12th man! COYR 😇⚽
