Two years ago, we started making Elle.

Since then, a lot has happened.

We originally filmed in October 2024 and returned for additional photography in March 2025, since then film has been on a much longer journey through post-production than i’d originally anticipated.

Now, as we head into October 2026, I thought it was time to start sharing that journey again.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be going back through the making of Elle, to those first days on set, but for now i’d like to reintroduce you to our cast and crew.

ONE YEAR OF MY ROOMMATE LUCY

One year ago today, we started production on My Roommate Lucy and honestly, it’s hard to put into words just how much this film means to me.

Making this film has been the most amazing experience of my life and it’s one I know I’ll never forget.

From the very first day on set to where we are now, the cast and crew have been absolutely phenomenal. Everyone, both in front of and behind the camera, poured their talent, passion and hard work into bringing this story to life. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve created together. And now, we’re getting incredibly close.

The film is officially PICTURE LOCKED!

We’re currently in post-production, with the musical score and colour grade in progress. Once those are finished, the film will head off for its final 5.1 surround sound mix.

After a year of filming, editing, tweaking, laughing, stressing and everything in between… My Roommate Lucy is finally becoming the film i always dreamed it could be.

Hello

It’s been a little quiet on here lately!

Between work, life, and everything in between, I’ve been keeping incredibly busy behind the scenes. While I haven’t been posting much, there’s been plenty happening.

Currently two films are in post-production, be sure to also check out Thurston Films for updates and news on those projects too.

Beyond that, there are several exciting projects moving through pre-production. One I’m particularly excited about is First Date, produced by LightTree Productions, which I’ll (Hopefully) be directing this August.

We’re currently casting for First Date, and I can’t wait to share more details as things develop.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support our work during this quieter period. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and I’m looking forward to bringing you along for the journey as these projects move forward.

Like every year, there were ups and downs, but working on this film was a truly special experience, one I’ll never forget, and a real high point in my life. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who helped bring it to life.

And a huge thank you to those who stood by me through the more challenging days this year. Your support means more than I can put into words.

One year ago today we gathered together to start production on ‘Elle’. I still remember the mix of excitement and nerves. It definitely wasn’t the smoothest start, But somehow, through teamwork, laughter, and a lot of heart, we pulled together and made something special.

Beyond the film itself, Elle gave me new friendships, memories, and a reminder of why I love doing this in the first place.

So grateful for everyone who was part of it, you made the experience unforgettable.
