This evening we look to pick up our first home points of the league campaign as we host Congleton Town in the NPL West.

Kitch will be looking for his side to bounce back from Saturdays defeat at Shifnal, and we’ll be there to bring you all the action, so if you can’t make the game join Craig, Billy & Josh (whilst Rich is on holiday) from 7.40pm.

Stafford Rangers succumbed to a heavy 0-3 reverse away at Shifnal Town in the NPL West.

A poor performance after our win midweek with errors costing us, and Shifnal sniffing out their chances throughout.

The home side took the lead through a somewhat dubious penalty, however they were already the better side at this point, and followed up in the second half with two more goals, one from a great finish by Raz, an ex player, before a goalkeeping error helped Shifnal seal the deal.

A red card for the hosts didn’t stop proceedings and Rangers must go again midweek against Congleton.

This afternoon we look to continue on from Wednesday nights 1-0 victory away at Darlaston, as we visit recently promoted Shifnal Town in the NPL West.

Shifnal have started their season with two league defeats by a 0-1 scoreline against Clitheroe & Chasetown, and will be hoping to get their season underway as we did midweek.

Stafford Rangers season finally gets underway with a 1-0 away victory to Darlaston Town in the Northern Premier League West.

Playing football on a Wednesday night might be alien to some Boro fans, but the players found life on a new planet with some combative football that saw them dominate large parts of the game, Alex Worley and Kaiman Anderson were both instrumental down the left in the first half, creating most the chances with Jack Sherratt and Birch both coming close. Darlaston grew into the game and Zac Noble was forced into a tremendous one handed save from a Louis Gill volley to keep the score level.

Rangers pressed early again in the second period and could’ve scored on a number of occasions with substitute Zidan Sutherland threatening twice before the breakthrough finally came in the 73rd minute when Jimmy O’Neill’s long throw bounced through and evaded everyone before Birch stopped in low at the back post to head home and send the travelling away contingent delirious.

Darlaston huffed and puffed in the remaining minutes but couldn’t get past a resolute Boro defence and we took home our first three points of the season.

A return to Northern Premier League action as our West Division campaign begins, following last weekends disappointing exit from the FA Cup.

Today we welcome Avro, who will be looking to hit the ground running themselves, having narrowly missed out on the play offs the last two seasons, they have retained most their key players, and added new signings as they looks to challenge in what is sure to be an interesting season.

So we had over 200 listeners during yesterdays 1-1 draw in El Staffico, as an evenly balanced game draws a close to the season at the Stan Robinson stadium.

Thank you to all of our dedicated SRFC community for listening in, as well as those from across the chase who were hoping to hear a Hednesford win, and also those from Widnes, who were cheering us on whilst they took another step towards the title.

A fantastic second half performance sees Stafford Rangers come from a goal behind at the break to return from Trafford with all three points, following a 2-1 victory courtesy of goals from Joe Thomas & Jimmy O’Neill.

We had a blast on the commentary, and thank you to the 130+ listeners who tuned in throughout the game to enjoy our not so accurate, and quite frankly dodgy accents, but a fine three points as well 😂🖤🤍

We're on the road today as we head to Manchester to take on Trafford in the NPL West.

With just seven games to go, and the Boro currently sitting four points above the drop zone, it is a crucial game against a Trafford side who still harbour ambitions of making a late break into the play off places, sat in 9th and eight points adrift of Chasetown who currently occupy the final spot.

Our previous encounter this season finished in a 1-1 draw, Joe Cuff forutously opened the scoring for the Boro, before an equaliser minutes before time rescued a point for Trafford.

A fantastic performance from Stafford Rangers last night, with Graham Deakin signing off from his role as caretaker manager with a 3-1 victory at Runcorn Linnets.

The win is enough to take the Boro out of the drop zone for the first time in over three months, with a game in hand over Wythenshawe and Atherton, who are a point behind us.

The game started at break-neck speed with the ball being given away carelessly by both sides until Zidan Sutherland broke free just before half time to put us in front, with Luke Wall equalising for the home side early after the interval.

The Unbelievable travelling support from the Shedenders last night, who didn’t stay quiet most the game, got their rewards in the second half when Kaiman Anderson scored his first goal in 1322 minutes with a great header before Liam Brazier sealed the points, breaking away unopposed into the Linnets half before cutely lifting the ball over the onrushing Passant to make it 3-1 to the Boro and game over, man.

We’ll be back at Kidsgrove on Saturday when Neil Kitching officially returns to the dugout as Stafford Rangers manager, with excellent travelling support anticipated once again for a local clash.
