From the Ava Alexander Foundation.....
As many of you already know we have a Halloween fundraiser on November 1st for The Ava Alexander foundation and you also know the purpose behind why we set up the foundation in the first place.
Last week a very special family were brought to our attention.
As many of you may already know, the beautiful wee Eireann is very unwell. She has been diagnosed with a terminal genetic condition caused by a duplication of the FDXL 16 gene which only effect 6 children in the world .
Eireann urgently needs a room that is fully adapted to meet her complex needs. To do that,her family need to build an extension on their family home or face a long wait for a specially adapted house – which could also mean having to sell the home they love. They have a brilliant support network where they stay so moving house would cause even greater difficulties especially with how often Eireann has seizures resulting in regular hospital stays. Those close by help to look after their 5 year old daughter alanna whilst Margaret and Brian are in hospital with Eireann.
This is an unimaginable situation for any parent. So as a foundation we want to support them. We discussed different ways whether it be a stair lift to help get them up and downstairs with Eireann as even an extension will take time. Or potentially a specially adapted bed they desperately need as well.
Either way the funds we raise at our next fundraiser will be used solely to benefit Eireann and her family.

£10 per adult ticket
£5 per child ticket.
We will be running a raffle on the night. Hot rolls will be available to purchase. Fancy dress prizes.
Steven Cairns will be keeping you entertained with his comedy hypnosis show and the amazing Kevin from Bombaztek will be banging out the tunes to see us through the rest of the night.
