An intimate evening with 'The Queen of Northern Soul' as she celebrates 60 years of Tainted Love with stories about her time in the music industry as a solo artist, songwriter, producer, and backing singer. From writing songs for Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, and Lionel Richie, to touring with Bob Marley, singing background for Tina Turner and Joe Cocker, and of course her time with T Rex and Marc Bolan, who with she shares a son, Rolan.

And then the after party, led by Wigan Casino legend Russ Winstanley plus Alan King - you may well catch Glo on the dance floor!

This is an evening you really don't want to miss. All proceeds will go to Gloria's charity projects, first and foremost The Marc Bolan School of Music in Sierra Leone.

Today, Saturday 23rd of September, marks exactly fifty years since Wigan Casino opened it’s doors to the world renowned Northern Soul All-Nighters.

Around 600 young soul enthusiasts attended that first night, none of us knowing that history was in the making.

Over the following eight years through to December 6th, 1981 the weekly events in this North-West mining town became world-famous, putting Northern Soul firmly on the UK's music map.
