Might be of interest....

In partnership with SAE Institute UK the Kenilworth Centre and Abbey End Studios are proud to present their very first Podcast Creation Course for young people.
The course will cover the whys and wherefores of podcasting and give you an oppotunity to record your very first episode.
There will be plenty of practical experience on the mic as well as workshopping interviews skills and finding your voice.
The course will be broken down as follows:
Week One - Intro to Podcasting
Why produce a podcast ?
What impact can podcast have ?
What types of Podcasts are there?
Week three - Podcasting Restrictions, what you can and can't do
What are the restrictions on podcasts ? Where you can and can’t use music? The importance of collaboration/ Distribution Options

Week Two - Planning your Podcast
Design and plan up to 6 episodes, topics, guests and sound and advertising including designing an image for your show.

Weeks four and five
Studio Time - Record and edit your episode, add sound and make a jingle!
Try out different mics and recording set ups and see what works best for your show.
It's just £20 for all five weeks and you will come away with at least one complete podcast espisode!

We're launching an exciting FREE monthly café hosted by Welcombe Radio starting Fri 27th Sept, 10am - 12pm at our Community Hub at Venture House! Pop in for a warm welcome, talks, hands-on workshops, the chance to meet new people and enjoy some cake! There'll be a different theme each month and our first one is focusing on family:

Hear from a range of organisations working across the town helping or advising families.

Find out about the Fun Palace - a fun, free family event happening in October

Be the first to hear of half-term activities to keep your little ones entertained!

This week on ‘conecting WR Connecting Stratford on Avon, we are paying homage to our recently departed friend Chris Wall. I got to know Chris when I partnered will him to create his program’where are the Songs we used to sing’, weekly program taking a few of his many many original shellac 78 records, recording them digitally from his wind up record players his knowledge of the development of modern music from its roots to rock in the 1950’s was second to none. So with an introduction from one of his friends Richard Vos we are broadcasting a Chris Wall program 3 to 4 tomorrow Friday.thanks Chris for all your community work and teaching us so much about early 1900’s music. We raise a glass to you.
