🧠 Youth Mental Health in 2025: A Call to Action
📊 1 in 4 young people in England are now living with a probable mental health condition.
💔 Anxiety, depression, and eating disorders are rising—especially among girls aged 17–19.
🚫 Many can’t access timely support. Services are overwhelmed.
This isn’t just a statistic. It’s a crisis.
💬 “Without mentoring, I wouldn’t have been able to sit my exams.”
– Becca, Young Leader & Youth Advisory Panel Member
At Lifespace Trust, we see this reality every day—and we’re responding.
🤝 What We Do
We mentor young people aged 7–19 in schools and communities.
Whether it’s anxiety, low mood, school avoidance, or digital overwhelm—we show up with empathy, not checklists.
We also support the adults around them—offering supervision for DSLs and pastoral teams so they feel equipped and resilient too.
📚 COVID’s Emotional Legacy
The long-term impact of the pandemic is real:
➡️ Disrupted transitions
➡️ Emotional dysregulation
➡️ Disconnection
These aren’t short-term challenges. They need long-term, relational responses.
🎉 21 Years of Impact
Since 2004, we’ve:
✅ Mentored 7,000+ young people
✅ Delivered 44,500 hours of 1:1 support
✅ Supported 3,500 more through group activities
And our Youth Advisory Panel ensures young people lead the way.
🚀 What Needs to Change
This isn’t just about one organisation.
We need systemic, relational services that don’t wait for crisis—but show up when life gets tough.
Because every young person deserves to feel:
👀 Seen
🗣️ Heard
💚 Supported
