✨ The Story Behind Lanarkshire Boss Mums Network ✨

I still remember sitting on my couch with my laptop and a toddler trying to piece together what running a business was supposed to look like.

I’d left behind a career and everything I’d known to build something new, but instead of feeling excited, I just felt… sad and lonely.

Networking events felt scary. Everyone seemed so confident, like they already had the answers and I was just trying to figure it all out between nursery runs, nap times, and the never-ending juggle of family life.

There isn’t a textbook for running a business. No one tells you how hard it will be to balance the workload with motherhood. I often wondered if I was the only one struggling.

That’s when it hit me if I felt like this, surely there were other mums out there feeling the same way too.

And so, Lanarkshire Boss Mums Network was born.

A space where women can connect without fear of “not being enough.” Where you can share the highs and the lows. Where you can show up as a mum and a business owner, without apology.

What started as an idea one day has grown into a community I wish I’d had when I first started and I’m so proud of the women who are now part of it.
