SWAD POD: A Little Pause, A Lot of Purpose
You may have noticed things have been a little quiet from us, and that’s been intentional. We needed to take a step back to reflect on what Swad Pod truly means, what it could become, and how we can continue to show up in the most meaningful way.
From day one, we promised that when we do something, we give it our all. And we did. We poured our time, energy, and hearts into Swad Pod: for our community, for the connections, and for the vision we believed in. But as a non-profit, getting the support we needed to keep it going seemed to be a real challenge.
We poured our time, energy, and hearts into launching our CIC, but juggling that alongside our own growing businesses proved too ambitious right now. Securing the support and resources to sustain it simply wasn’t feasible without overstretching ourselves. The stress began to take its toll on our sisterhood: and that goes against the spirit Swad Pod was built on!
As two business women also juggling our own busy lives and growing businesses, we realised we couldn’t do it all alone: at least not in the same way.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve taken time to reflect and reset. We’ve put some healthy boundaries in place and are now focused on finding balance: still doing what we love, still supporting our community, but doing it in a way that feels sustainable and true to us.
We’ll be recording and releasing one podcast episode per month, each showcasing a single local business, individual, or charity. This focused, month-by-month approach ensures deep storytelling, genuine exposure, and a process that respects everyone’s time.
We are sure these slots will fill up fast, so if you are ready to be a guest on Swad Pod, get in touch duckies:
