🌡️🌊 SUNDAY 14th June MARSKE BEACH SAUNA UPDATE 🌊🌡️

Air is warm, sun will keep emerging, sea is 12 degs, some power there this Sunday, kippering in the shallows safest we reckon. And a mid afternoon high tide is going to make 2-5pm sessions a very short stroll. Sauna will be hosted by Sam with Richie leading the fusion session from 7-8:15pm. This is the last afternoon of sauna until we have a weekend off, returning on the 28th back on marske beach.

​Our May trial of weekly sessions at Marske has continued really well, so we're keeping it on rotation! We'll only miss one weekend in June with booking dates being released imminently. This Sunday, 31st May, you’ll find us on Marske Beach from 1:30pm till 6:00pm.

​We're kicking off with a longer slot for those seasoned sauna lovers who demand a little more, followed by our regular hourly rotations:

​Weather: Sunny with some cloudy cover, westerly low/mid wind with bit of gust leaving us protected in our space.

​Air Temp: 19⁰ dropping to 16⁰ by 9pm.

​Sea tides/Temp: High tide at 16:44 and Temp expected to be around 12.5°C!

​Wind & Waves: somewhat cross wind at shoreline with little to speak about until 6pm when a foot of swell picks up. Should be lovely.

​What to expect:
​Heart & Mind: Opening chants, cleansing breathwork (Pranayama), heart-opening Cacao, and guided full moon meditation.
​Movement: Gentle grounded yoga flow & Moon Salutations on the sand, followed by freeform movement around the beach fire.
​Fire & Ice: A full block of hot sauna rotations with Richie, paired with refreshing sea cleansing dips.

Big fan of the The Conscious Self since we interviewed him on our mental strength podcast some time ago. Plenty of folks oit there who experience ADHD symptoms and behaviours so this you tube series worth a look.

We also promote the double inhale 'physiological sigh' breathwork for self regulation. It works a treat. Great work.

A question for our community.

Every Man Can used to be Boro Man Can in Middlesbrough telling the stories of mens positive health change to inspire other men to do the same.

Our evolution and expansion from small mens health campaign to a new vision, inspired by our evaluation, is to have a recognised brand for men to a) be inspired by other local mens stories amd b) find what works for them by connecting to the range of mens health work locally is what we are about.

Question for our fans and
Should we be looking at a new Tees Valley wide mens health network, to connect all the awesome mens health work providerd and then looking to connect the men?

Does something this directed already exist or still remain a need?

100% self funded by Fire and Ice Community Sauna (our trading arm and all round awesome wellbeing and health intervention) this month we kicked off for real Every Man Can efforts to improve mens health at community level, at Healthier Heroes CIC. This one day had a workshop on the morning, looking at wellbeing, self regulation, brain basics and a taste of NLP foundational communication skills. We shared our stories, listened to each other and learned how to use the breath to calm ourselves and get into the window of tolerence.

We'll be looking for funding and donations to create/support a multi week programme that aims to empower traumatised men in recovery, educating them on nervous system regulation, and a whole element about their own communication, to help be part of the efforts to empower them with skills and strategies to rebuild their lives, themselves, over time.

Still not one penny raised from funding grants but some donations, some training to our partners and mainly from fire and ice community sauna. After 1.5 years, I've also started to pay myself a little bit too, in doing thr range of work.

To me, this is what social enterprise is about, providing something that's good for our customers, using that income to spend on supporting others and creating employment as well.

More plans ahead include providing a grant to a local provider, Knock Out Depression who will be providing a six week programme to formerly homeless men in a Middlesbrough supported accommodation.
