Casting Opportunites
We are pleased to announce that we are inviting apoplications for our next touring production.
White Lies by Robert Shearman:
This is a one act, two handed comedy that shines a spotlight on suburban couple Claire and Simon, who have reached an impasse in their lives and marriage. They have created an imaginary friend, Roger, who distracts and entertains them over dinner once a week. But eventually their individual relationships with Roger become increasingly intense and things start to take an unpredictable turn.
The production requires actors to be comfortable with involvement in the get-in and get-out processes of nightly touring. Experience in comedy and two hander/small cast performance is desirable, but not essential. We welcome applications irrespective of gender, disability, marital or parental status, ethnic or social origin, religion, belief, or sexual orientation.
Claire: A female identifying actor in their 40s to 50s.
Lost in the routine her life, she doesn’t know why she’s been put in this world and where the aspirations of her youth have disappeared to. Not knowing how to get what she needs in her marriage, she turns to Roger for the intimacy and care she has been without from Simon.
Simon: A male identifying actor in their 40s to 50s.
Unwavering from the routine of his predictable life, Simon, set in his masculine ways, is afraid of intimacy and vulnerability. Away from Thursday dinners, he sneaks out of work to meet Roger to play squash weekly only to discover what he’s left behind and neglected in Claire and their life together.
Rehearsals will be in Swansea.
This is nightly touring and as such all actors will be rquired to participate in gets-in and out. Touring allowance will be paid when away from base.
Payment is based on MRSL Grade 3/Sub Rep but we do not pay NI or Holiday
Actors will need to have a base in South Wales
Dates: May 11th to June 20th 2026
Auditions will be held in person on January 22nd or 23rd.
