The Building Conservation Directory 2020 is now available, in print and online.

A striking cover showing an intricate medieval soapstone carving on a cathedral font reflects the exceptional in-depth information contained within the 2020 edition of The Building Conservation Directory.

This directory provides access to the immense range of specialist knowledge and skills in the UK, from heritage consultants and conservators to craftspeople working in highly specialised areas of conservation and repair, such as marbling, slating and tile-making for walls and floors; several of these are included on the Radcliffe Red List of Endangered Crafts.

Details of conservators, consultants and suppliers of specialist products and materials are presented alongside a dozen articles on heritage issues and useful technology by leading authorities in each specialist field.

The Directory will be invaluable for anyone involved with the repair, restoration or rescue of historic buildings, their contents or surroundings. If you don’t already have a copy, there is a free digital version on our website https://www.buildingconservation.com/books/bcd2020/index.html or you can order a hard copy at https://www.buildingconservation.com/books/bcd.htm.

Thanks to everyone involved, whether as advertisers, contributors or colleagues. We could not have done it without you.
