The Building Conservation Directory 2019 is
now available, in print and online.
Beneath its spectacular cover featuring an old wood block once used for hand-printing flock wallpaper, the 2019 edition of The Building Conservation Directory presents a particularly rich spread of information. For anyone involved in rescuing or repairing historic buildings, their contents and surroundings, the directory provides access to the UK’s great wealth of specialist knowledge and skill, from heritage consultants and conservators to craftspeople working in the most highly specialised areas of conservation and repair. Some of these, like leadworking and gilding, are now included on the Radcliffe Red List of Endangered Crafts.
Details of conservators, consultants and suppliers of specialist products and materials are presented alongside a dozen articles on technology and heritage issues by leading authorities in each specialist field.
