Just two weeks before I exhibit at The Healing Weekend! Highly recommended festival, in the Somerset countryside. Three sunny (hopefully!) days of holistic festival vibe, exhibitors, therapists, evening entertainment, great food, great company. A place to get rid of the stresses and anxieties. A time to come together in a nurturing environment. Friends to catch up with, new friends to make. Time for chilling, time to heal, time for possibility....😀🙂🤩 See you there!

A guest appearance at 11 at The Market House in St Austell today as part of the St Austell Summer Fayre showcasing local independent businesses. As you can see I have hung my new Psychedelic Nature collection (prints under acrylic glass) and my wall space still includes two of my "Colliding Spaces" collection. There were three of these, but I sold one while there and the buyer was very happy with her purchase. My gratitude to her...🙂 # 11 at The Market House

What I love about this....is that he is absolutely right! When I am creating new work it is always what gives me the wow factor. If another person gets the same reaction, then that is of course very gratifying. But if I try to consciously guess my fans reactions, then it is likely I won't create my best work. It's part of the course for an artist...

Exciting times as I unveil one of my latest pieces - "The Oculus". This is a departure from my usual work, but I am very much in the diversification camp. Sometimes I have to veer away and try something new. My recent foray into psychedelic art has been a great way to experiment and find something fresh and out of the blue came this quite unexpectedly! I was experimenting with composite images for ideas on promotional material and the rest is of course history! I love how this piece emanates energy and light and the gorgeous green colour is rather delicious! The eye in the centre is an AI eye - yes, that's right I dabbled in a little AI to get an eye...just what I needed for this piece. I think you'll agree without it, it wouldn't work. The all seeing eye, so prevalent as I keep seeing it more in digital artworks. The look, the longing for answers the spiritual quest of our time and a peek into what may lie beyond our closed doors....

This piece is presented here as a print under acrylic glass - a modern contemporary way of showcasing this kind of art. And it oozes sophistication. This isn't a limited edition. It's not exclusive because it could so easily be presented even bigger - I believe up to a metre long!

The obligatory coffee and cake helps to power up this morning's session at the artists' table, measuring up my latest prints ready for mounting. And then they will be heading for The Healing Weekend in Somerset in about 5 weeks time. Oh and I do like to make a ritual of these creative sessions, with candlelight and incense...just makes it more relaxing...🙂

How many greetings cards do I need to make for sale at my stand at the upcoming Healing Weekend Festival? I don't know is the short answer. I just make a list. Print a few and hope that I have enough. Or I may end up with too many. Anyway, "set list" created and printing will begin! (East Huntspill, nr Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset 11th / 12th / 13th July 2025)

Preparations are well underway for the upcoming Healing Weekend Festival in Somerset www.thehealingweekend.com in July. And here among the first prints emerging from the printer is "The Oculus" on metallic paper. I have sent away for a large acrylic version for exhibiting at the festival.

Recently I posted some new work that went more into psychedelic art. There are six images in the collection. Once I had completed these I continued creating. I believe some of the subsequent images were better than some of the existing images in the collection of six, so I have rearranged the collection and can now present them here. This is the complete collection, ready for printing and sale. The collection will now be printed under acrylic glass instead of foamboard as I felt (having obtained a sample) that the print wasn't punchy enough. The images in the collection will also be available as giclee prints. The acrylic prints will all be around 20x30 cm size - to make a coherent collection - but larger sizes are possible. Indeed, they would all look amazing really big! 😀 I am intending to exhibit a set of these at 11 at The Market House (St Austell Market House) in St. Austell soon. 😀 Price: expected to be in region of £60- £70 each, but haven't yet fully calculated. There will also be a special price for the purchase of the entire collection....! (In case you were wondering, no mushrooms or any dubious substances were consumed in the making of these images!)
